Lack of side signal lights on AXIS - Added big rig LED blinker :)

Hello all, again...

THOR should incorporate a signal light within the front side(s) marker housing. Or better yet, added a decent size signal marker so cars/trucks on the side of you can know you want to move over?

I purchased some big rig LED signal/marker lights (Partsam 2 Pcs 6-1/2" 21 LED Oval Amber Turn Signal Side Marker LED Light for Truck Trailer Trail Bus), tapped into the front signal wires (dark wires, as white is negative on LEDs).

The result, a BLINDING statement that says, "I am moving over!" It's still light out. Will add a pic when it's dark.

Why this isn't a motor vehicle requirement is beyond me. It's a serious safety issue. IMO...

I agree there should be a directional on the side so other cars can see that you want to come over. I have been thinking of doing the same thing. Thanks for the post, looks great.

Exactly..... Why is this not a requirement on all motor vehicles.

I have been thinking of doing the same thing to my 17 Axis. Been looking for something that matches the factory side markers that way it looks the same as the one on the mid-side and rear side of my RV.

But safty first - might just set up like yours - looks great.

Side Marker Signals

I posted the issue last year and used surface mounted LEDs. Don't understand why they didn't do it when they built them.

Thanks, Yeah I remember that posting. Its just one of many mods I have not gotten to yet.

Looks like a good winter mod (if its not too cold outside).
