LizzardSkin for sound dampening

Just saw a short vid about spray on LizzardSkin as a sound dampening in autos etc. and wondered if anyone on the forum had any experience with it. If it works fairly well, it would probably be worth a try on holding some of the road noise down which probably more than 50% in our Vegas. May be easy to apply to the underside and wheel areas.

I wonder how it’s sprayed on considering it comes in gallon cans.
I may give this a try when it warms up.
I’ll have to research it more to see if you have to add an activator and if it’s fast or slow rise.

it works good if you can turn your MH on its side so you can spray the bottom.

There is a video at the link I posted above showing it being applied. Looks like they just use a commercial paint sprayer.

Video is not informative enough for me to try it. I'd like to see a real comparison with other sound deadening products.

I have searched and I can’t find any reference numbers in terms of dB for sound deadening. Even in a thickness of product measurement you figure there should be some numbers. Looking at the spray process it’s doubtful it’s very effective at sound deadening. I recall Zebart from years ago, a rust proofer, that was very effective at protection, rustproof and sound deadening. It went on very thick.

There's some Youtube videos that are supposed to demonstrate Lizardskin, but really all they do is demonstrate how to apply it. The only "comparisons" I've see is the sound of rapping a panel before and after application. Not very scientific and probably doesn't do any more than spraying it with FlexSeal.

Here is the stuff I used for the cowling and underside. I got it from Amazon of course, the Items I bought were Dynamat 30' of tape and Fat Mat Self-Adhesive rattle trap sound deadener Pack which was 25sq ft. I did some research on the matting and found this stuff to be just as good as Dynamat, but you could get more of it for a lower price. It was very easy to use and work with, just remember the old insulation needs to be removed (try to save it and put it over the Fat Mat) the new stuff needs to go directly on the cowling. I had enough tape left over, to place the original insulation over the Fat Mat and tape it properly.
I've included the links below.
