Hurricane 35m half bath issues

Has anyone else had issues with half bath clogging?

I have a 34E but no issues in the half bath. However the kitchen sink emptys in the front black tank which I don't like. Don't know why Thor plumbed it that way.

It clogged up one time on mine. There is not much room between the end of the tube that drops into the tank and a shallow part of the tank. If you don't give it a good solid flush or use too much toilet paper it can develop a clog. I turn the pump off on occasion, open the trap door and take a look to monitor the situation.

I had the same problem. And our washer dumps into the 1/2 bath and I thought that would help, it didn't. On my Hurricane 34F the tank is long but somewhat shallow adding to the problem. I installed a Camco 40123 Quickie Flush with Back Flow Preventer and use it to flush the tank when the tank is emptied. I haven't had any problems since I installed the flush.

The rule for those commodes is... use LOTS of water to help gravity do its thing. We fill the bowl about half beforehand, and fill and flush again after. We also add Calgon after every tank dump along with the chemicals to help make it slippery.

We have a half bath. We have not exactly had a clog, but I do frequently see TP near the toilet valve. To prevent an actual clog and force that TP down into the tank, we occasionally do what I call a "super flush". Hold the pedal down slightly to fill the bowl with water ALL the way, very near to the top. Remove foot to stop water, then push pedal down quickly to release all that water at once. That always works for us. I do it before every tank dump to make sure the plumbing is clear and everything is in the tank.
