Mounting small tv in bedroom

I have the freedom elite 22 fe which is not set up for a tv in the bedroom. We have figured out how to run the cable. Our question now is how to mount the tv. We will use one of 2 TVs. One is 2.5 pounds and the other is 7 pounds. We are considering a vertical wall mount which we would screw directly into the 2x2 wall stud. Does this make sense. The bathroom is on the other side of that wall and I am trying to get wiring and plumbing diagrams from Thor. It doesn’t seem that wires or plumbing would be attached to that stud

I'm certainly no carpenter...

...And even less of an electrician!

But I'd opt for the lightest TV possible.

And we're going to want to see pictures of the glorious results of this project!

Having had the Four Winds version of 22e, I went through the same agony of trying to find a secure way to mount a 26" flat screen in the bedroom. There is nothing worthy of support in the inside wall structures. The best solution I came up with was to spread the load by bonding/screwing plywood to the wall spanning at least two studs then screwing the mount to the plywood Never followed through, got rid of it and bought a 29fe.

That sounds about like the best way to do it: brace up the 2x2s with about the thickest chunk of plywood you can find, and screw it into that.

Spread the load out over about two or three feet, and it should be good!

I installed a vertical board to the wall with Gorilla Glue and screws at the top and bottom. I then attached my TV to the board.

Attach it to the ceiling...over the bed. No more sore necks. there's got to be more material up there to attach it to.

If I ever get my 30FE back from CW where it's been in the shop for 13 days for minor work, I'll shoot some pix of how I mounted ours.

On our last one, I did what someone posted above - a piece of 1x4 screwed vertically into the wall stud with 3 screws, stained the 1by to match the wall, and attached TV mount to that. a 24" TV hung there perfectly in over 10,000 miles on all sorts of terrain. It was still firmly in place when we traded it in.
