Need more battery space

2016 Hurricane 29M.

I dry camp a lot, would like to add 2 more batteries but there is not enough room.

Currently using 2 6-V, would like to add 2 more but there is not enough room in the battery bay.

Anyone do any mods or have suggestions?

Not sure what to sugguest but I have seen some threads where the owners either moved the battery comparment to the next compartment over (Because it was large enough to hold 4 or 6 batteries) or they SPLIT the batteries between two comparments (that were next to each other).

I agree: I'd just turn the closest storage bay into "Battery Box #2".
You don't need to move everything, and it's easier to just get some longer battery cables.
(I'd also be concerned about putting that much weight into an unsupported storage bay...)

We built a rack in a forward cargo bin that could handle 3 additional batteries, although we are going to lithium next month and we're moving the batteries under the bed.Click image for larger version
