New Thor 28' Chateau owner with propane/electric etc. questions

1. Does anyone have any advice about modifying the propane system to provide an attachment to hook on a line to feed an outdoor grill?

2. I have a rather expensive surge-protector that might "sprout legs and walk awayr" if connected at the RV Park end of the power cable. My power cable is hard-wired into the vehicle so the protector cannot now be attached at the vehicle end of the cable. I'm thinking that I should cut the cable near the vehicle end and install male/female connectors on the cut end, so as to be able to attach the surge-protector and keep it in the cable storage compartment. Any thoughts?

3. Any recommendations for a brand/model of tire gage that can be used inside those tiny wheel cover holes to read air pressure?

4. I'm disappointed to learn that our Nissan Murano cannot be towed--in any configuration. Any advice regarding a small car that can be easily towed on a two-wheel dolly trailer?

Thanks, budHumph450, previous owner of 34' tow-behind Rockwood

1. You can get some fittings that will tee off at the tank.
2. There are kits you can get that put a marine connector on the side of the coach--may not be what you want but you could mount the surge suppressor inside.
3. I have one like this which has worked quite well.
4. Usually any FWD car can be towed on a dolly. We've towed our Escape, our C-Max, and now our Chevy Bolt on an ACME dolly. A frequent recommendation for a toad is a Jeep--but if its 4WD or AWD then it most likely wouldn't be dolly towable.

We have a 50amp Progressive Industries surge protector. It has a metal tab with a hole through which we secure it to the power pole with a heavy duty padlock.

Regarding the propane grill feed...look up "Extend-A-Stay" valve. Maker sure you are aware of which side of the regulator you're working with so you don't "double regulate" your grill.

MILTON makes a commercial, "double-headed" tire gauge that works both tire valves on the rear. I assume one valve points in and the other points out. You can pick one up at NAPA or a good truck stop. Never had an issue with Milton quality.

Several models of Jeeps can be dolly towed as they also come in front wheel drive configurations. We have a FWD Cherokee that we tow on a dolly, we also used to tow a Renegade FWD. Another forum member, DinoC41 has a FWD Jeep Compass which can also be dolly towed. There are lots of other brands available as well.
