Plan to replace rear tail lights with LEDs

OK, so I have a plan, but to make it happen could take a bit of fabrication. Either I install new taillights complete or change the bulbs to LEDs.

To change it completely, I would have to remove existing and measure box inside to accommodate this. And then find the lens to fit the measurements. Or, complete re-fabricate the box inside as well. I think the first idea would be better I'm not much on fiberglass and molding . So, has anyone already done this project? And if someone wants to do this, let's hear it and get some ideas.

I used these on my FR Sunseeker. Simple remove and replace and worked well.

Not sure what style tail lights you have on your coach.

Just some information with changing over to LEDs. If the amp load reduces too much, especially if you replace both front and rear, your flasher unit will probably not work. You will either have to replace the flasher with one meant for LEDs or add a part in the circuit which creates more load.

Command Electronics now makes a LED version of their tail lights which will make for an easy conversion. With the LED version, you can permanently seal the lights.

Lots of idea already, thanks, it's going to be easier than I thought. I like the idea of direct replacement. I'm only concerned with the rear lights the rest can stay as is. I say that now

My concern is on my 2015 Chateau the rear lights have 6 wires the replacement LEDs have 8 wires the colors from the old and new don't match up. Any suggestions?
