Receiving TV Signals...
Hi Guys!
An odd thought occurred to me, so I figure that one of you will have the answer!
Is it possible to transmit the signal from the input lane to your home cable TV box: to your Smart TVs that are resting in your motorhome?
Here's the situation:
We have Spectrum Cable TV in the house, and three LG smart TVs in the rig...
Is there some sort of wireless transmitter/receiver system available; that would allow me to "backyard camp", and still get to watch my TV?

If you do a search for "Wireless TV signal transmitter" you'll find a few sources.
Of course if you still have the "Rabbit" from your younger days (70s, 80s) that might work too. But think you might have to run an electric cord from the house to the RV. I Seem to recall it broadcast signal from one TV to another via the house electrical system.

Yes.
Look into a 'Sling Box'.
Been a couple of years since I used mine but I think they are still around.
It hooks up between your cable box and home TV and allows you to access it over the internet.
You will need the Sling Box app on your TV. There are app versions for phones, tablets, Roku, etc.
Check all of the above cause as I said it's been a couple of years since I used mine.
I have dropped all cable and use YouTube TV to stream to all my devices. It's the only service that I know of that does not limit you to a zone or location. So I pay once and use it at home, the cabin and the motor coach (wherever it may be). You just need decent internet everywhere.

Thanks for this tip: it kind of confirms what I've been seeing...
Has anyone been using one of these setups? I'd likje to hear from someone who has been using one...

Thanks!
One more question:
Does the transmitter go on the input side of the cable box; or the output side?

Bob you will get a transmitter and a receiver in the package both about a little bit bigger than a pack a cigarette. I did purchase at Best Buy and I told the salesperson there I'm keeping the Box in perfect condition if it doesn't work I will be right back here to exchange it. I was shocked the 2nd I plug them in they worked without doing anything. The picture quality is amazing I think I paid around $90 for it at the time.

Not sure if it still exist, but there was a device called "Jack Rabbit" that would transmit from one set to another

Check with your Cable Supplier, I have Optimum (Cablevision) and If I have internet access I can log into my cable account and stream live and on Demand using my laptop hooked up to my TV with an HDMI wire.

***Agree Everyone SHOULD check for an app from Cable,Sat,etc. ON Android phones press "smart view" and wireless to TV. An easier way is to go on YouTube type in what you want to do for your TV connection and a twelve-year-old will walk you through it in two minutes....

HDMI Transmitter/receiver
Please correct me if I am wrong because I do not own one of these "boxes" but cannot get an answer to my questions using the information supplied by the manufacturers of these items.
I would assume that the HDMI transmitter can only transmit the channel that is selected either from the TV or cable box because there is not an ATSC receiver built into these items.
I conclude that you must first locally select the TV program you are interested in on the "master" source, that being the TV, Cable box/Direct TVDVR/Game console etc. My question is this: Is there any way that the remote TV/Display can send information to the "master" device using these TX/RX HDMI boxes. Otherwise, everyone has to watch the same program being transmitted by the HDMI transmitter, the local and remote displays.

There are simple electronic boxes the allow reception of over the air channels the can be recorded on a hard disk or SSD for later viewing. All that I know of require a coax or HDMI connection to the TV. Several have radio frequency remotes. You would need a box for each TV to watch separate channels simultaneously. To get signals from you house to the smart TV in your house you need a router and some cases an extender. The problem is how do you get signals from the cable TV box to the router. The easiest thing is to subscribe to DirecTV now or Hulu and watch what you want through your cellphone.
I use DirecTV and the genies have wireless capability to broadcast 5/7 channels of live TV plus 3 recorded channels simultaneously over a wireless link (video bridge and client). The genies also have WIFI receive capability, so it works with dumb TVs and monitors. Each client has it own remote and the client transmits the viewers request over the wireless link to the genie. The operation is not immediate but typical takes a second or so. Although the MC has it own dish, when the coach is parked in the drive way we watch the house's genie. Dish has a similar system.
