RecPro.Com. We paid just over $700, free shipping. You can order fabric swatches to check for a match.

Replaced couch

We are looking to replace our love-seat sleeper with a love-seat recliner
Are these units wall huggers?
We only have 34" from the end of the slide to the wall.

Took advice from this thread and bought the double recliner from RecPro. RecPro customer service is great and the 3 boxes were delivered by FedEx 2 business days after I ordered. The product seems very well made and comfortable.

The sofa bed we took out was very uncomfortable for sitting and nobody has slept on it since we bought the coach 2 years ago. We wish we had done this sooner.

Thanks everybody for your input and advice.

Yes, they are wall-huggers. When installed, the backs are about 2 inches from the wall. Later today I will take some measurements at the coach and post them here.

Jerry, When I put the RecPro recliners in last year I found that right against the wall they still reclined a lot. At 2-3" from the wall they go almost flat. I have ours chained to the seat belt bolts so they can only move a few inches from the wall and would not fly around in case of a sudden stop. The seat belt bolts were long enough for me put add the chain, a washer and a lock nut and still have the seat belts. Our space was to narrow so we don't have the center arm rest. If you have the room you will love them.

Hopefully this picture will help show how much space this loveseat takes up. As accurately as I was able to measure it the front of the unit is 40 1/2 inches from the wall when upright and the footrest extends 65 inches from the wall when fully reclined. The back is about 2.5 inches from the wall. On my coach the window trims don’t interfere with the reclining function.

The only thing we don’t like is that the cup holders are only 2 3/4 inches across. Apparently there is a standard in the RV industry that only canned drinks should fit and not my coffee cup.

I bolted the unit down with 5/16 inch anchor bolts in the front and used 2 of the screws that held down the original sofa in the back. That’s probably as secure as the original sofa, but I think the advice to add a safety chain is a good idea that I will adopt.

Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a market for slightly used RV sofa beds? Too big to store and too nice to trash...

I bet there is. I would put mine in the den for the grandkids.

Those recliners look so much more comfortable than the average couch or dinette.
