Bob -- that was my point. According to the info they gave you -- hooked to shore power, AC comes into the converter, converted to DC, DC goes to inverter, converted to AC to run refrig. My question to them would be, "Why not run it off the AC coming in on shore power and turn off the inverter?" I do not believe constanly runn ing the inverter is going to extend it's operational life,
