First one is before, second one is after:
Before: Note that the ARC encloses the vent fan:
After: Note the ARC going right under the vent fan:
In addition, if you look at the left side of the ARC in the first one it almost touches the medicine cabinet, and in the second it clears it by a good margin (in the first I couldn't get the medicine cabinet open!).

Jamie,
How far out from the old track is your ARC? I got just a little over 6" gain (see earlier picture posted), your ARC seems to have added a bit more.

I would have to measure that and I can't get to the RV before the weekend. I would suspect its more than 6".
(The shower curtain does hang inside the shower pan )

This shower is definitely not working for the family and me.
I have some ideas on how to deal with the bathroom's tiny shower, minuscule sink, and sticky curtain:
1. Complete "do over" with bigger shower surround and relocation of sink
2. Custom shower doors while keeping existing set up
My evil type-A personality is kicking in big time with the bathroom issue.

I haven't showered in ours since I put the ARC in yet--its still winterized. But I did stand in it and close the curtain to see how much room there was. It is now markedly larger; I doubt I'll have a sticky curtain problem any more.
I don't think you'll get the same result with shower doors as they tend to be completely vertical--you'll end up with "sticky shower doors" instead of a curtain (and they are less forgiving when you bump into them). Unless you plan on making your doors make a cone I think you'll be disappointed with the result.

All,
We are heading up to Cherokee River View Casino in Murphy NC Friday AM and will be staying at a KOA campground in Marble NC (just a mile down the road from the Casino). Friday is fishing day so I will be taking a shower using the new shower rod. I will report back after the fact, but I too believe the sticky curtain will no longer be a problem.
A conical shaped shower stall? If the doors were multiple (say 6 or 8), tapered and curved like a Tulip, each overlapping the adjacent section other much like collapsible veggie strainer, mounted in an upper and lower track with all sliding to a side for storage when not in use??? Could be.

I've used the bigger shower in my 2016 Axis about 10 times and can confirm that it is a big improvement over our 2014 Vegas. It is big enough for me to turn around in without hitting the curtain and I have had no water on the floor after the shower, so I did not install my plexiglass mod in the new one. I thought about trying to mod the shower with plexiglass doors, but decided, like Jamie, that banging against the plexiglass would be worse than occasionally hitting the shower curtain. The biggest test will be heading out west this summer when we will shower in it for two months plus. It is probably an advantage having showered in the 2014 Vegas for over 120 days. The 2016 Axis seems so much bigger. I would like to replace the little sink with a bigger one. The apartment where I am currently staying in France has a square sink that just sits on top of the counter. I wonder whether there is something out there that would work in the RV? An oval one would be better, so you would not have the corners to bang your shins.

Well since we're so close to "Alien Day" (4/26) the image that first came to my mind when reading your description was the "egg" in the first Alien movie! LOL

Jamie,
Now that is a concept!
Ever see "Demolition Man" with Sylvester Stalone? If we could get those futuristic toilets that used the Sea Shells instead of toilet paper that would help on the blackwater tank cleanups!

Now-combine that larger, square sink idea with a fold out shelf like the kitchen, and we may have something ! Good to hear about the shower - my rod order is in....

Kay,
THe Dw agrees, and if that was in a deep red, it would be great to tie into the red strip in the outside paint job.

Lowes...these measure 16 1/2" across..may a bit large..

Sadly replacing the bathroom faucet in ours is a little more difficult as on the very early units the shower was run from the sink--there is no separate controls for the shower.

Well....I have been sitting here, searching and I think it will be difficult to find something unique in 'small' and allow for the faucet which seems to come with that particular style ! Suppose I could go out and measure our mini-vanity !
I did ... counter top is 12" across and about 12" deep to the faucet...
the stock sink is 11 1/2" across !

You're looking in the wrong place; you need to be searching for "Dentist spit sinks"

Ha !!! you are sooooo right ! If that is the case, I think I will stick with what we have...actually, it is not too bad ! We are going to replace the faucet set, with a single handle..after things settle down. We will make due for now.

Jamie,
Funny that you said that. I was remembering my good old Army days as a Dentist and we had portable "spit sinks" with a stainless steel table. I have been thinking that would make a great fish cleaning station and could use the outside shower for water access.
Time to start searching Military Surplus - unless someone on this site has already designed/developed something.

After using the bathroom for a week while on the road, my wife and I agree that it definitely needs to be looked at for a modification. The clingy shower curtain is obnoxious.
One idea is to remove the sink vanity completely and install a bigger shower surround with built in framed doors. I would take a tip up sink from a class b and put it over the toilet. Pretty common set up.
Another idea is to move the vanity over one inch. Put in a square sink vessel. I would build a custom vanity to match that is higher with slide drawers to maximize space. Moving it over one inch may give me enough room to install framed plexiglass doors. I would definitely mock this up beforehand to see if it could work.
My first option will probably be extending the arc to see how that works. However, the sink and vanity definitely need to be swapped out.
Keep us posted on the over arching shower arch. Need some real empirical feedback. Sometimes the best solutions are the simplest solution.
