I'm so old fashioned...I'll look into this. I really enjoyed the music...uniterupted, that is.

The Axxera has the little female plug receptacle on the left side that says AUX. You can plug the jack from the Onyx docking station into that and then hit the AUX command. Place the car Sirius antenna in the middle of the top drop down bunk and route the wire so it has slack when you drop the bunk. Ours worked great but I have since changed out the radio for a Clarion which utilizes a separate aux jack out of the back of the unit.

Sirius/XM Radio

Axis Earl: Appreciate the information. Was wondering if the Axxera radio would have to be pulled out.

No problem. I use the Onyx SiriusXM portable receiver both in my garage and the Axis. The new Clarion had the SiriusXM option built in but I do not want to pay for another subscription. I think the thing I like most about having the satellite radio is not having to search for an FM station and I still don't have a smartphone. My old flip phone does have Bluetooth which is paired with the new Clarion. Whatever works for people, the great thing about options on these RVs. I had an extra home docking station for the Onyx which I can also plug into the cheap Jensen radio in the back, utilizing the extra home antenna I remembered I have.

8-Track Player with the 74 8-Tracks I still have. Probably will change the speakers out for some with a little more cardboard in them.

I tried all the spots mentioned above for the antenna. Finally glued it on the roof in front of the forward roof vent . Snaked the wire through the vent, hid the wire along the inside roof seam, over the passenger door and across the dash to the center. Can't tell its there unless you are looking for it. I get better reception with it than the factory one installed in my car.

Have you ever tried to listen to Iron Butterfly's "In a Gadda Da Vida" on 8 track?
They have to cut it up into so many different pieces!

In our earlier years that song was a timing device for...well, you know. Now, we just use the doorbell.

It did a pretty good job of drowning out the shrieks; didn't it?

Mine is run through the engine compartment and mounted on the front of the hood. It was already there when we bought the MH.

What rig do you have?
I'm concerned about trying that since I've got all of the Class C overhead stuff sticking out over top of the hood...

Mine is on dash dead center against the windshield. From there it was easy running cable down between windshield frame and existing but unnoticeable gap on dash panel resulting with no unsightly wires on dash. I made some other modifications giving a clean look with minimal wire exposure when connecting Axxera to Onyx. I get excellent reception and I don’t get interference from my window covers. My reception has been verified from Arizona to the Colorado high country. When driving I get interruptions on rare occasions but it’s no different than my truck which has built in satellite radio.

I have a 2016 Chateau 23U.

Fed mine through slideout up to roof. Secured with som silicone adhesive and much better reception than laying on dash.

If you have a Sirius radio account you can get the app free. I use my iPhone with a lightning cord and all works thru the RV speakers.
