MCD or Similar shades

Anyone install or have installed the electric shades?
Have they been reliable as far as the motors etc?
Thanks

We replaced our window shades with day/night MCD shades. The shade for the windshield must be electrically controlled for safety purposes. Ours works quite well. We opted for the manual versions for the remainder of the coach, and they operate equally well. If money is not a major consideration, having others that are more difficult to reach may be beneficial. These puppies are costly, but we are glad we converted - significantly more daytime privacy/sun protection and a total blackout at night from the outside. Only issue is they tend to rattle a little as you are driving due to the lower pulls clack together when rolled up.

Thanks JW for your reply
I figured they $
Have you had them long? Material hold up?
MCD says can drive with day shades down for uva /uvb control. This would save interior and $ I would have used to tint the vehicle
Have you tried driving that away?

We've had them for over a year and they are holding up well. Those in the cockpit area are much, much nicer than the original pull-around drapes/curtains. Haven't driven with the day shades down, but cant't see any reason not too (except for the windshield obviously). For that matter, one could have the night shades deployed as well in the living portion of the coach. The windshield day shade can be partially lowered (to a predetermined limit) for a sun visor effect. While the cockpit side day shades could also be deployed, that may somewhat inhibit visibility of your mirrors if they are side mounted (e.g., viewed via side window vs windshield).
