Solid bike box for Axis 24.1

We are planning a trip across Canada this summer. I am wondering if any one has found a solid bike box for bicycles?
I have had no luck with the local bike shop. I am exploring building one myself. Any help greatly appreciated!

Great start, I would prefer to not have to disassemble our bikes. This has some great features I can use for a design starting point.
