AGM Battery Upgrade - Firefly Multiplex Settings?

Hi,

I upgraded the batteries in my 2018 Thor Palazzo and need to set the amp hours setting on the Firefly multiplex. I now have (4) 6-volt Lifeline AGM batteries (Wired in series). Each battery is rated at 220 amp hours. (440 for each pair) What do I select for amp hours on the multiplex? 200?, 400? or something else? I already switched the battery type to AGM. Any help is appreciated.

Each 6 volt pair at 440 amp is equal to one 12 volt at 220 amp, so since you have two pairs, put in 440 amps on your FireFly. I do not know what this setting controls and have played around with different values and not observed any difference...

right...
in essence, since you are doubling the output of a 12v 220amp hour SERIES battery 'bank', when in PARALLEL with another, you are then doubling the amp hours to 440.

Use 400 if that is your only option - it's close enough for hand grenades, horse shoes, and submarines. (...that's a good 'ol saying from another time!)


Series(Positive to Negative) wiring doubles the VOLTS, but thereby decreases the HOURS
Parallel(Positive to Positive) wiring doubles the HOURS, while maintaining the same VOLTS
