All depends where you are

If you're hooked up to electric you're not likely to be boiling the kettle on the propane stove top so using an electric appliance isn't going to help; my generator is way louder than the sparker.
Sorry but it seems silly to install a different sparker when a butene BBQ lighter is cheap and easy.
Our first world RV problems.

I’m not quite understanding or following you...So you’re going to get a hot plate out to boil water IF you have electric or buy a 3 pack of lighters for $10 that run out or you’re going to have to go wake her up to ask where she put it? The new igniter is $6-8 and lasts with no need locate a lighter.

Has anyone converted to a battery powered electric spark lighter? Something like this. The space to fit this is kind of snug. https://www.amazon.com/Generator-Rep...pd_rd_wg=Lp3rB
Have you tried kitchen matches?

I ordered this one and it works perfectly!! The back of the spark lighter has narrow spade plugs and the existing wires have a small round female plug. With a little wiggle the round female plug slides right over the male spade plug. All I had to do is use a step drill to open the hole in the front of the stove to 7/8" and install. It takes one AA battery and all three burners spark at the same time. EZY-PEZY!! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You guys are all party poopers! My mod works just like your outside BBQ works. A simple press of the button and turn on the burner. FIRE! :P

We use this: https://www.amazon.com/CHULUX-Single...s%2C187&sr=8-4

Small and quick. Also, make hotter coffee than the Kurig we use at home. Of course, it needs shore power or generator running, so, I keep an old fashioned perculator pot when boondocking and use butane lighter to light stove.
