Fuel cap frame replacement?
I'm not sure what yo actually call it.... but on our Thor Outlaw 37LS, around the fuel tank port they have a black frame (no door, just the cap shows). We are thinking to replace that black frame with a diamond plate or chrome version, but i am having a difficult time finding anything online... what would be the name of that part? anyone do this before? the fuel port is recessed and this is the frame around it. bolted onto the body

I don't know what you'd call it either...
But it might just end up being a one-off custom-made piece.
(It wouldn't hurt to ask your dealer if they know of a source for the part...)
Good luck, and happy hunting!

If I understand you correctly, are you looking to cover the current one. Would something like this work?
Ultra-Fab Chrome Universal Access Door, 48-979010

I’ve looked repeatedly on many sites for an alternate fuel door or access with no success. The recessed fuel fill is rather large and I have not been able to locate either a door with a frame large enough to cover the existing frame or an add-on door to add to the factory port. If anyone locates something that will work I would appreciate your sharing!

I have spent an enormous amount of time trying to find something online... biggest issue is what to call it...fuel access door is easy, but it is all doors and nothing like the recessed model currently on the motorhome.... still searching

I like that, “knowing where to place the X”. Good one!!!
I was doing an underwater scuba repair job many years ago and the customer didn’t want to pay the agreed on price because “it didn’t take that long”. I pointed out that I was entering the water with $3,000 worth of gear on and the knowledge on how to perform the job, he had neither! I got paid!!!
