Smoother Ride ?
I have a 2016 Thor ACE 30.2 bunkhouse, what can i do if anything to get a smoother and more quite ride? The rattles and hard ride are disappointing.

I put Sumo's on the front of my 2016 Axis 25.2 and was very happy with how they performed. Now I have a 2017 Windsport and am going to put them on all 4 corners because of the harsh ride in which you described.

I have a 2016 ACE 29.3...I added grill insert which stopped air whistle . The back of radio wasnt stable which I fixed. My noises are mostly gone. Ive played with tire air pressure which I ended up running 92psi.

As soon as my Windsport comes in I will be doing the same. I was happy with them on my Vegas but you will find a big price difference between the Vegas and Windsport Sumos.

They all suffer from rattles, creaks and groans when driving them. Think of what your house would sound like, if you drove it on a highway, and that's pretty much exactly what you are doing with your motor home.

I was surprised when my wife asked me what I did to the coach, she felt it was smoother and riding better. I didn't tell her I had done the chf front and rear but she noticed a difference. Best mod I have done so far, and the cheapest!

Moving the links of the front and rear sway bay to the inside holes. This tightens up tge suspension. First pics shows the link in the inside hole. Ive since added plates to the front link which levels out the sway bar. The plates are not needed but i lije to tinker with the mh so i added them.

If you plan on doing the chf i would also strongly suggest you remove the sway bar completely and lube the bushings with super poly lube. I bought 4 tubes of lube, one for each bushing 2 front 2 rear, on ebay for about $10. Ford started using the better quality poly bushing a few years ago but for some unknown reason they dont lube them. I was able to remove mine , lube, and reinstall in 30 minutes. Easy job.

x2 on everything Jerry says! I ordered a set of extended links for the front of my coach since I have no way to make plates, again not necessary but like Jerry I like to tinker. I have the lube for my bushings and plan on doing them when I change out my links. You can go to YouTube and there are several videos on the chf, search: F53 chf. This is a picture of the links I ordered.

Good news...just got word our 2018 ACE 29.3 has arrived at the dealer...we will be picking up in about 3 weeks....Over the past months I've been researching upgrades and mods.....current plan is for the following immediately after delivery....Safe t plus, CHF and alignment (after loading)....All to be done at shop in Elkhart...whatnI have to decide now is if I want to add a rear sway bar gysmo while it in the shop. If so, what specific type/brand?....we will be hitting the road 7-10 days after delivery and I won't be able to do more heavy duty mods myself.
Other things to immediately add will be hard wired surge protector...and should I immediately add tire pressure monitor system? Or do i do this later....
Also, i am looking at initial solar setup...but for the moment I focused on must do stability and safety...advice would be appreciated. I need to go shopping as I am going to supply parts to recommended shop in Elkhart.

Imho these are all important to do except tge solar which is nice to have.
I would do the following in this order:
Alignment
Chf
Safe t plus
Rear track bar
Once home load the mh up and get it weighed so you know the proper psi that should be in the tires. Dont go over the listed psi on your label.
Then tpms and surge protector
The above suspension mods should give you a smooth handling coach without tge white knuckles

Thanks....i will follow your advice.....is there a type or brand of rear track bar recommended?....when I casually looked a couple of days ago they sure looked expensive for a glorified steel bar.....ideally i would order the safe t plaus and rear bar from the same spot....

All the rear track bars look the same to me. I went with this one
