1/2 bathroom door handle hits fridge handle

From a former Thor ACE owner, I know you all are pretty good at finding solutions.

When the slides are in and we want to use the 1/2 bathroom, the door handle on the bathroom door hits the door handle on the fridge so it doesn't open very far (2019 Fleetwood Discovery LXE 40M). If I suck my gut in I can barely squeeze through, and I'm only 180 lb. Has anyone found a solution to this? Maybe a door handle for the bathroom door that doesn't stick out so much? I was looking for a flush door handle but have not seen one yet.

Close, but would have to replace the regular door round door handle and still needs to latch. It's not a sliding door, it swings open and I don't really want to cut into the door.

I may have found what I wanted. I'm going to order this and see if it works.

I tried that flush handle and even though it says it fits doors that are 1 3/8” it does not. I even tried a different brand that is a dead bolt and it is also to big.

Get a transmission funnel and attach enough rubber hose to the end of it so it will reach the bowl.

That would work for me, but some how I don’t think my DW would go for it.

I have over the years told her I should get a funnel with a hose and cut a hole in the floor of the MH and car, that way I could keep driving and not have to stop for potty breaks. She was not amused.

Weird how men think...had the same thought years ago while delivering commercial trucks!! You could pour a few shots of your beer in the funnel to rinse it out...just before you throw the empty can out the window.

I don't know what kind of fridge you have but our residential one has the option of the door opening from either side. If yours has that option and you have the room, might be something to consider. Flip it around and the handle will be out of the way.

Our fridge is a residential with French doors, so no turning them around. I may try the flush handle again, but leave out the locking mechanism and maybe try putting magnets on the door to hold it closed. We don’t need the door to lock. I will also look into using a bi-fold door.

Ours is tight but apparently a little more room than the op

The bifold sounds best and would be good to see a photo of one in place

I solved the problem. I ordered https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and got a Hole Filler Plate from Lowes. I attached the handle to the hole filler plate so I wouldn't have to drill more holes into the door. After that it was just adjusting the door ball catch. I also didn't use the dead bolt part of the recessed handle because it didn't fit my door. The door doesn't lock, but we don't really need it to since i is just me and DW.

Where is the white filler plate? Do I have it right that door latches with the spring ball and the recessed handle gives you a way to pull the door open from the outside and closed from the inside?

The filler plate goes under the recessed handle. Once the filler plate is on the door, I drilled holes in it to mount the recessed handle. The recessed handle it just to pull open and closed.

Me too thanks. I may change ours to make opening the door easier in travel mode with the slide in

I LIKE IT! Just like Petefoss above. Our door knob bangs on the handle to one of our cupboards, so double handle space reduction. I think I'll give it a shot.

I did the flush handle. I ordered two of these. Then, bought a square hole center latch. I used two barrel nuts & 4 screws to tighten them together. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Circular-Ro...53.m2749.l2649
