tie downs in basement

As we begin to get our coach ready, I have what some will call a stupid question... I am wanting to put a couple of tie downs in my basement storage but I also do not want to do anything to the integrity of the coach that may start allowing negative effects (rust, etc)

Outside of drilling in screws what are options? If I do drill in screws should I somehow seal it, if so suggestions?

Well - we had (had being the operative word) initially. I installed some shelving (wire coated closet kind) that REALLY helped. Here is a link to some of our efforts. It really was easy to do.

PS: Now days I use some foam rubber left over from trimming a mattress topper to eliminate clattering and banging.

Thanks for the reply...so you used simple sheet metal screws. Did you seal them at all where they breached the coach wall/floor?

As you look at the pics, I drilled small pilot holes in the composite portions of the basement. I did not use any sealant on the screws and I've had no leaks. Probably as a result of the small pilot holes and the composite material - combined acted as a self seal.
Adds a great deal of room and usefulness to the basement space.

I installed four small stainless steel D-Rings using stainless steel bolts/nuts/washers in a couple of my basements. So far no water entry and they very handy when securing the cargo.

I like the shelf's too - will have to look into this.
