Tornado Tank flush

I'm planning to self-install a tornado tank flushing system. There looks like plenty of room at the aft end of the tank for the fitting and in the outlet compartment for the hose connection. Any tips?

I put one on the 27.1 ACE over a year ago. It really cleans out the black tank. I thought it was fairly clean using the wand but when I hooked up the flush, you wouldn't believe the stuff that came out.
Now I run the water a couple of minutes, close the tank and let it fill to about 3/4. Then pull the lever and let the water run until it is clear.

I hooked up a 90 degree elbow with a quick disconnect and have one hose dedicated for the black tank.

Quick disconnect is a great tip! Do I need a cut off valve of is there protection from backflow?

Study tank sensor locations and possible spots for Tornado. Try to position Tornado so at least some of the spray hits sensors. I had to use the beveled spacer to angle spray at sensors. They come with backflow preventer. Great product.

I had the Tornado installed by the dealer before I even picked up my Vegas. I was just about to add the 90º elbow with the quick disconnect.

This is a great product and makes the ugly task of emptying the black water tank reasonable.

I'll add this
at first I was strongly considering doing this same project.
After far too much thought on the matter, and after reading a bunch from very experienced long term RV'ers
I came to the conclusion that i am just as well off to use the money towards buying coffee or something.
I just simply don't care if I get every last drop of stuff out of the tank.... and I realized taht i will never be able to anyway, short of perhaps with a huge volume of water and repeated rinsings.... even then it's doubtful. In the end, who cares! It will eventually break down and come out with some future emptying... and further more I'm not the least bit interested in sanitizing the thing. There's no need.

Use plenty of water and never empty before the tank is at least mostly full, and you'll never have a problem.

And on the rare occasion when I feel the need.... for example if I dump before it's as full as it should be, then when I'm at home and not holding up the line at the CG's dump, I will on occasion fill or partially fill the tank with clean water and dump that as a rinse.

OK, you all convinced me to get one, ordered it off of Amazon for only 23.00. Best price I can find, I will however, not use that hose they send with it. I plan on using the same material that is installed in all RV's I even have the tool

Thanks

I tested the Tornado, along with the Camco Quickie Flush and the Valterra No-Fuss flush. Initially, the Tornado seemed to have the best pattern.

However, the thing I found about the Tornado, and the reason I decided against it, is it won't spin if the pressure is below 40psi. Since you have no control over the pressure at the dump station, proper operation is not assured.

If it does not spin, it's pattern is not as good as the other two.

For that very reason, I went with the Valterra No-Fuss flush.
