onan microquiet 4k interior upgrades

So, I have read the manual and looked at the schematics, looking for real world experiences. My interior start panel is on the side of the kitchen counter and has the start button and an hour meter. I would like to replace it with the panel with the switch and volt meter, and then use the old one to mount on the dash so I can start it from the drivers seat.

Your unit doesn't have a start switch on the dash? I thought that was standard practice (start/stop switch on the main panel and the dash).

Nope, just the one on the unit, and the one in the kitchen area

Like Jamie said -- on the Axis/Vegas it's the third switch from the left under the radio screen. It is labeled "Gen Start". There is an LED light in the rocker switch that illuminates when you start the generator.

My ACE doesn't have one on the dash either. I don't think it would be very hard to do what your talking about.

His coach is a 2000 and the dash switch may not have been available at the time.

It shouldn't be too hard of a mod. I imagine the hardest part would be chasing the wires depending on where in the coach the generator is mounted.
