I have a Vegas 24.1, and just removed my couch bed and am building a dinette in it's place. Seat belts are bolted to floor of slide. No tanks.

Would love to know how this mod works for you! Please post, and share pics if you can. We have a Hurricane 27K and would like to change out our sofa, too. I know the spaces are not equal, but we'd like to find a way to add some comfy seating to replace that hard and narrow sofa. Good luck!

Removing sofa on 24.1 Vegas

So, how does the sofa attach to the coach. We want to do the same. I could never figure out how to use sofa for a bed.

CW of Statesville will be doing the install. I have had no problems as far as sales, warranty work/repairs, explainations of the timeline and of what all is involved in said work/repairs. I will see how they do with a modification and install.

AJ, the three units (two recliners and center console) was right at $1K with $200 S&H.. so what kind of quote did you get on the labor?

AJ,

You have faster mechanics working there, they estimated 3 hrs at $267. Sorry, S&H was $220. We're in the same ballpark just playing at different speeds. I'm planing on sitting in the shop taking pictures (and watching the clock) .

Which color did you choose? We went with the middle shade Beckham Tan.

AJ,

I specified that "Old parts requested by customer (X) Yes." I plan to post on Ebay, never even got the inflatable mattress out of the box. Should be worth something.

If I get a buyer I will let you know.

Any chance you could take pictures at different stages of project and post them? I'd love to see what's there to work with after sofa is removed.

Chance,

I know I have this posted elsewhere...but here are the final pictures. As far as getting the couch out...it took them 15 minutes. I got back to the shop and it was out. There is a sequence in putting the recliners in, but again one tech got it all done in under 2 hrs.

Seatin Upgrade

We have a 2016 ACE 27.1 and never cared for the dining/living seating. They did not have enough depth and the foam is garbage. We own an Upholstery shop and made some changes. As the one seat has all of the electrics under it, we only changed it by taking the curved end off and replacing with a flat board. This took off 4" for the aisle. We made a cushion with 5" HD foam and a Dacron wrap. We took the other seat and moved it out 4", removed the sleeper and built a new cushion with 5" HD foam and wrapped with Dacron. The extra depth is much more comfortable and allows one to sleep there with plenty of width and length. More changes to come but here is a pix of the completed seating.
