kitchen sink cover vegas 24.1

Has anyone found a good cutting board cover for the kitchen sink? Our Vegas has a 16 inch kitchen sink and we are looking for a cover/cutting board for it

If you can't find round stock and have a jigsaw you can make your own easy. Buy a ready made cutting board, make a pattern the size you want, trace and cut. After checking the fit and sanding the cut edges seal with food grade mineral oil if you choose wood.

The Tuscany we used to have had a double sink and two covers. I used one of the covers as a pattern and sawed out a nice looking butcher block board. Looked good and worked good, no more having to drag out cutting board. Also the lip on the under mount sink held the board nicely in place.

Vkb, I think the sink cover you made looks great! My comment was just providing an alternative in case they couldn't find a round block like what you have, probably not available everywhere. Again, $5, innovation, and imagination, you did a great job! The one I made was $25+! and I think yours looks better!!!

No prob...ya never know when stock is depleted at a source. Actually, if I had not found that round at HD, Ron was ready to cut one and do it the hard way !

Post a photo of yours ! I am sure everyone would like to see your handy work.
