Windsport29M upgrades
We did 3 upgrades recently. Ordered a recliner from shop 4 seats which took 5 months to get, but wasn't in a hurry anyway. They are wonderful as they fully recline and the ultra leather is so comfortable. On a plus side we had our windshield replaced so we just lifted the seats through without any problems trying to fit through the door. Next we went to Ikea in Phoenix and bought black out drapes. My wife cut them to length and hemmed them then made tie wraps to go around them with velcro. Really stopped the heat from coming from the cab. I made 3 brackets to hang the rod. We live in Tucson az. Then replaced the cheap foam in the engine cowling and installed dynamax. Quieted the cab noise.

The recliner looks really nice. I did the same to my dog house. Huge difference.

I'm thinking of placing carpet on the floor where we sit hoping it will block some of the road noise. Thanks for your reply.

My wife doesn’t like carpet. Instead I used the same sound stuff you used on your dog house under the MH. That helped and has stayed on for over 2 years.

We went to a carpet store and had some scrap cut as floor mats for the cab area. I don't know if it cuts down on road noise but the dogs now have a softer place to look out the window. We took down the front curtains and the wife sewed insulated black out curtains from Wal Mart to the factory installed ones. It sure cut down on the thermal gain. We used the swivel seats for seating so the curtain wouldn't work for us.

How many square feet of dynamat did you need for that? Looks good by the way.

That's what we wanted to do but couldn't find a matching color, hence the carpet store.

I bought 2 mats at Costco $15 each. Just get them and install when she not home
Better to ask for forgiveness than permission. If she hates it you're only out $30
But i get the not sleeping

I bought the dynamite xtreme 4ea 32in X 18in. I did have almost one sheet left over. Need to buy a roller to really get a good adherence. It's not cheap $90 but it really works. Got it on Amazon. I did set the pieces in the sun to make it easier to work with.

Jerry,
Since this thread is also your home, this too is your fault:
On our 2017 Hurricane 29m - upgraded steering, sway bars, and springs,
Solar panel, Paint inside (no more brown), new bright color window
coverings, new recliner, new tv (wife is happy), new shower, new
faucets, dynamat in dog house, 10 week trip to Alaska, 3 years of
great memories, granddaughter who asks continually when we are
going on our next trip, and new adventures for DW and me. All of
which I may not have done by myself.
So I thank you greatly for your contribution to this forum, your wisdom, and your
example. We love our Hurricane and hope someday our paths will cross and we
can thank you in person.

I could not agree with you more. Jerry has been a huge help with all my stupid questions. I have made many mods based off of the advice from Jerry. Fixed things I would have never tried w/o Jerry’s support. My DW and I did get to have lunch with Jerry and his DW. We discovered that Jerry lived close to my daughter and son-in-law. Thanks for all your support Jerry!!

Dennis,
Please post some of your mods. Inside paint, window coverings, shower. Not that I want to do them but you never know I might get bored.
Ill be in your area June 11-14 meeting a fishing buddy who is flying out from New Jersey for his sons graduation. Maybe we can meet for lunch on sunday the 13th. Ill be camping at the Elks lodge in Goleta
Jerry
