Any guitar pickers out there?

I love to play guitar and usually bring my Martin LX-1 "Little Martin" along on trips. It seems to be the perfect size for inside the coach. If we are in one spot for a little longer I'll bring one of my larger guitars. I try not to be too loud when playing outside though, lol.

What does everyone else bring along? Any other instruments that anybody plays?

Ear plugs! Camping is about quietness...enjoying nature. I usually turn the outside speakers on when someone camping next to me starts cosmically filling the air with their choice of what they feel I must listen to. I play the piano and my brother has a band. I love playing at home and we go listen to him a lot...I grew up in high school in the 60's and 70's...the era of the greatest music ever. I love it!! But I use the MH to "get away from it all".

I always like guitar music...

But I have no talent for playing: just for listening!

That little guitar I have can hardly be heard, Plus I am very careful to not get crazy, I leave the harmonica at home.

Some days we just wake up a little more ornery than others. I actually like a good acoustic playing softly in the background...go ahead and play us a few strokes...I'll make you a good Captain-N-Coke. We'll be OK!! I love the harmonica and play one also. I'm a born Blues Nut. Anyone remember "I Can't Stop My Leg" from Saturday Night Live in the 70's?

Sounds good, when you run out of Captain I've got some maker's. I've been heavy into some Guy Clark lately.

"The Last of The Gunfighter Ballad"...one of my favorite oldies. I molded my lifestyle around the the original outlaws in my earlier years...Waylon, Willie and the boys. I am most excited to tour the old west and the history as we travel next year. Already got a list of places to go with Tombstone and Yuma at top of the list. A few years ago my wife had a rifle scabbard made for me to fit my Henry Mare's Leg by the saddle and leather shop in downtown Tombstone. Embossed with the badge of the U.S. Marshal, Tombstone Territory. You can play those oldies all you wish. If we run out of booze, I'll go down and hit up the salon..maybe shoot a few bad guys while there.

Sounds like a winner, let me know if you come to Colorado, When we're home on the weekend I like to sit by the fire wire music and come of KY's finest, or sometimes I just listen to the coyotes, cows and prairie dogs.

while a history in piano, keyboards/synths, and most recently drums(oh, and a little Ukulele when only 8!)... and several rock 'bands'(at least that's what we called ourselves)... and a love of rock from when I was 14, to hard rock around 27, I find myself facilitating all of my '80s and 90s' fav cassettes and cds onto my iPhone to take with me...

I LOVE listening and rocking out, foot tappin, and hand drumming, while traveling...BUT!.....

I find that when I arrive, I never have the 'desire' to play the tunes from the phone, even with earphones...

I guess once I arrive I'm in the mode for 'quiet'....

weird, hunh?

yes, I AM.
my wife even says so : /

Since havin' the RV, my camping guitar is my '07 Martin J12-16GT. I'm still amazed that I have a Martin "camping" guitar!! I play lightly(mostly finger picking and light strumming). I'm nervous playing in public so our neighbors never have to worry about my gettin' too loud. being a product of the 60's and 70's music, I gravitate there and Folk Music. Who else is a Steve Goodman or John PrClick image for larger version

You can't be a John Prone fan unless you love Iris Dement! My fav..." We're Not The Jet Set"! I saw them at Chastain in ATL a few years ago. I also saw Elvis at the Civic Center in ATL. Both are legends.

I'm kinda partial to "In spite of ourselves"...we saw them a few years ago at the Chicago Auditorium. Of course I've seen John many times over the years. A
Chicago kid over here!! I listened to JohnP and Steve G most of the way to Nazareth,Pa a couple of weeks ago. Took the little CT200h not the Effing Bus. Better mileage..ha
