Any thoughts or different experiences?

Kent it works great with the quick connect on the mh. After doing the mod to remove the regulator from the bs i hooked it up to make sure it worked. All good

So, just to clarify, did you eliminate the BS regulator when using the quick-connect on the MH? (But still keep it for times when you want to use it at home with a separate LP tank, right?)

Thank you, Jerry. This griddle is on my wishlist for Father's Day so I want to be prepared. Looking forward to using it when we head up 395 to camp in the June Lake loop.
Thanks again,
Kent

Getting the old regulator off the connection was the hardest part Its on there good.
Plan to use it at Kernville the end of the month
June loop is on my list. Plan at staying at Silver Lake cg
Maria and I are looking to get a tandem kayak. Would be perfect for the June area.

I bought the 17" griddle with carry bag and a 1 gallon propane tank 6 weeks ago and used it the last time out. I loved it, my review would be 5 stars, really no complaints. Easy to clean, cooks great, doesn't heat up the coach and stores in the bottom of my closet with the Instant Pot. The only negative is any wind at all messed with the flame and made harder to heat up.

Silver Lake is our favorite CG in the area, but the sites we like (not right against Rush Creek) were all taken for the days in August when we go. Instead, we're going to be over at Oh Ridge CG by June Lake. Been there before and it's not too bad -- just not as nice as Silver Lake CG.
This will be the first time boondocking with the 29M. All of our other trips so far have had hookups. We always enjoy the more primitive campgrounds.
Now you and Lance have me thinking about the Kernville area. Not sure I've ever been there.
Thanks for all the input on the Blackstone. Looking forward to using it.

The June Lake area is north from Bishop and Mammoth. There's quite a grade out of Bishop, the Sherwin Grade. Interested to see how the 29M pulling the toad will handle it. I used to pull a 13k lb Montana with a 7.3 Powerstroke at about 45-50 mph up that grade. We shall see.

We also carry a small charcoal grill to light briquettes for the cast iron Dutch oven.

Blackstone Tailgater. 1/2 griddle, 1/2 gas grill, best of both worlds. I added a "T" with quick connect to the RV, Changed line on Blackstone to match, and it works great. Can also remove the grill box from the Blackstone in about 15 seconds and use the burner for pots and pans. They also make a pizza oven attachment for the Tailgater. Best $179 I've spent in a while.

All set...
My family was good to me on Father's Day. They found this 22" model at WalMart for only $8 more than the table-top version with the SS front that you can find on Amazon. It also came with the stand and the hood (which I may remove...just 4 screws). The stand is pretty heavy gauge steel, but it does fold up to be portable. Because of the weight and hassle, I may just leave the stand for home use and not worry about taking it in the MH.
I also went out this morning to Smart & Final and found these flat top tools on sale for $3.49 apiece!! They're not Sabatier or anything, but for 11 bucks who cares! The fit and finish is surprisingly good. I also like the beveled edges of the smaller (and beefier) turner, as well as the scraper.
Thanks go out to Jerry for the inspiration -- and also to Classictint for the tip on the connector for the low pressure line on the 29M. That thing is awesome and the people at PropaneGear were knowledgeable and great to talk with.
Now it's time to learn as I burn!
Cheers!

Nice. Youll need a table to put it on at the cg. I have a 4ft one i bring. The table you have is nice
I thought about buying the hood. I like tge idea of it but worry about the extra weight in the cargo bay

Yeah, the weight is what I'm concerned with, too. A couple years ago, I got an aluminum 4 ft table that actually collapses like a baby stroller. The top is made up of aluminum slats that roll up for storage. This would work -- but not nearly as stable as the stand it came with. That sucker must weigh as much as the cooktop with the griddle on!
As far as the hood, I'd almost rather work with a separate cover for steaming veggies or whatever. While that's going on, you still have open space to grill and work with other foods. There's a youtube video of a guy who took rectangular baking pans and attached cabinet handles to them for this very reason. The shape made better use of the space than round domes. Ingenious!
I guess I'm saying I agree with you about the hood. Not really necessary, but it does keep the dust off...and it doesn't really weigh that much. Certainly not as much as the stand!

The lid is more for keeping it clean after cooking not for steaming at least that was my understanding
Ive seen the tin tray with handles. The handles are just held on with magnets
I dont think they need a handle. Just lift the tray off
I bought tge cover for mine. Its good for storage but i wouldnt want to put it on when the griddle is still hot. Thats, where the lid would come into play
