Water Pressure Regulator Broken?
I bought that non-adjustable pressure regulator from Walmart to stave water line issues. From day one, when I hook it up my water pressure goes limp. If I leave it off, I get better pressure but at the risk of blowing a line.
There's been numerous time I wanted to see what kind of shape my baseball arm was in but don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater and pay or be hassled with water line failures.
Anyone have similar experiences and sorted it out?
TIA

I use this.

Never had a problem with it. ALso check the screen where the hose attaches and the filter t the water pump. Just make sure they are clear

That screen is clean.
The pressure is what one would expect when the regulator is not in place

Every simple water pressure regulator (brass or plastic) reduced the static pressure to about 40 psi and flowing pressure to about 15 psi. this is what I use from Amazon.

What does it mean when it states...."Not recommended for settings above 60 psi"? Obviously, you don't want anything more than 60PSI coming into your camper but what is the max PSI input from the CG that the reducer can handle? Does the gauge indicate the actual pressure you are sending in or just what you have set if for? If just the setting, how can you tell the actual pressure flow between this reducer an the RV? I guess I'm looking for, not only setting, but actual confirmation that is working correctly. A faulty reducer could cause lots of damage.
FWIW...Thor Wakarusa replaced my faulty input assembly (it was leaking just behind the wall) then tested the entire water system to 100PSI.

He's talking about the screen at your hose inlet and regulator inlet, not the water pump strainer which shore water does not go through.

That's the one I was asking about. I clicked on the link and read the details.

I bought this on Amazon and have not looked back. Oil fill pressure readout with adjustable pressure intake. Truly worry free. Set and forget it. Lol
