We always wave. We have for the past 18 yrs of towing a trailer or driving an RV. It’s a feel good moment.

The wave

Yes, I’ve wondered about this too! My wife and I have been a class A owner for 3 years now and I have never had a wave returned. I’ve pretty much given up on initiating the wave just because I hate the continuous rejection. My wife (who was never a corvette owner or a biker) thought I was weird for waving since it was never reciprocated. When we are in our boat, we always get a wave.

For the record: we wave, but we don't expect to see it returned...

I have a tendency to wave to everybody.
I do notice that not a lot of rv'es wave back, not like back in the 70' and 80's.

I wave when I see an RV going the opposite direction. When I'm on my two wheeler all the other bikers wave as do I. Nice to meet people in the struggle of life, don't you think?

The wife waves at everybody, carry over from our boating days. Me, we just went from a 22' B+ to a 29' A, I better keep my hands on the wheel

Maiden Voyage

I waved at oncoming units on the Interstate, hard to tell if there is a wave back because of distance and speed. I did notice a couple though. Driving the E450 V10, understanding the sweet spot for mpg is 61-63, we are getting passed by some Class A and TT’s and that’s fine. As they pass, I wave, and not none waved back or even looked over. (driver or passenger) 😞

I sometimes wave.
I sometimes don't.
I sometimes flash the bird.

It depends on the situation.
There's a time and a place for everything.

Yes, I’ve noticed that too. I have a C4 and since the C7 came out, those drivers are less likely to return the wave. I’ve also noticed that when approached C7 drivers are less likely to engage in a conversation about their Vette.

I just tried an experiment in our trip back from Virginia last week. I normally cruise around 64-65 aa i get passed by some and i pass a few also. On this trip i stuck my hand up on the window just as the passing driver was almost up to my window. Most saw my wave and waved back as they passed. Some even signalled with their lights after the pass. My DW also waved as we passed someone and in almost every case they responded in kind. I think that the biggest problem is being in a position too see the other drivers. I must say, I enjoyed trying to convey the friendly gestures and appreciated the responses. I always wave on two-lane highways when speed limits are slow enough to see the other drivers. Truthfully, I think some are shocked! Got to keep that effort going though and I know that I am not the only one! Happy motoring!

When you see me wave be sure to throw something at me. A hot dog, cheeseburger, fried chicken drumstick or even a nice big slice of pizza!

C4 are the best. Who care what C7 owners think of them!

No, although the C4 is good, the C6 was probably one of the best automatic transmissions that Ford ever made! With that said, I realized that some of these posts are boring, but it would be nice if we could stay in subject. I have a bit of ADD too, but that just makes me try harder! Still provides a chuckle when the thread goes south!
