RV Instapot

Ok! I am in love with my instapot. I use the thing a few times a week here in my stick and bricks. (I know, I know, It's the "in" thing now)

I typically cook large meals, then store them in containers to eat for a few days. It's definitely going with me full timing it.

Any of you have experience with one on the road?

My wife is crazy about them and we have several of various sizes. We have a small one that we take in the RV, mostly used to cook rice. I use a grill for most camping meals, along with an electric skillet for things like bacon, eggs, pancakes, and grilled cheese sandwiches.

My wife's favorite tool at home is the Ninja Foodi. Besides pressure cooker it also does crisping/broiling and air frying. It would be great to take in the RV if you have the storage space for it.

I carry one with me fulltime. No different experience with it in a stick and bricks vs the rig.

I use the 3 quart in the RV. I love the cooking versatility it provides. From quick to slow cooked meals, it’s all good.

No problem. I would think it would draw about the same power as you crockpot. A 15 amp circuit should be enough.

A couple of questions:
1.What is the smallest size that they come in?
(It's just the two of us...)
2. They sort of seem to be marketed like a pressure-cooker... can they also be used as a replacement for a crock-pot?

Thanks!

The 3 quart is the smallest with 6 and 8 quart the next sizes up.

They can be used as both a pressure cooker and a crock pot, in addition to other uses.

Various sizes. We have one for the house - I dont know much about it but the wife likes it.

You can replace the crock pot IMO because you can set a timer to have it start later (like an hour or two before you come home or back to the RV) and it has a "keep warm" feature (button).

So you can cook quickly or just let it sit all day until your ready.

I would go with the 6 quart one. That is what we have. We just made this last week.
