How are you handling the heat wave?

So my fellow RVR’s with well over half the country in this tropical heat I was wondering how are you holding up? We are visiting our granddaughter In Kalamazoo Mi. staying at a nice little county park. Paved parking pads and full hook up, only problem is little shade as park is new and trees haven’t grown up yet. The Ace sits in the sun all day so keeping her cool with the one ac is a challenge. Feel like a vampire sitting here in the dark with all the windows covered with reflectex. (Gotta do what you gotta do.) mid afternoon it hits about 80 in here but the humidity is around 55%. Not too bad with outdoor humidity over 80%. Today we are heading for 94*. Stay cool. Mark

Similar situation here: sitting on the asphalt that is Liberty Harbor RV park. Should be hitting the road later when we can get both engine and roof A/Cs running.

We just deal with it and keep living the dream. The way I look at it is it's summer and it gets hot in the summer. We just did two weeks in the Texas Panhandle. Yes it was hot, 100 a couple of days, but we saw Frontier Texas, the WASP museum. the AQHA Museum and HOF, the RV museum at Jack Sizemore's dealership, the Cadillac ranch, the Kwahadi Museum of the American Indian and Lake Meredith. Wouldn't have seen any of those by staying home.

You have two air conditioners.
My v10 uses about .67 gallons of fuel per hour when idling.
2/3 of $3 a gallon is $2 an hour for comfort.
Or
most museums and fun things in life are air conditioned.

Yep running the chassis ac is an option I have used in my old coach with an 11000 btu unit. Today will be the hottest day before it cools off, that may be an option for a cpl hours this afternoon

Roasting in Utah Monday, 103 degrees but at least it's dry heat. The rig is in indoor storage, waiting for the next run around Labor Day.
