The backup lights built into my tailights did not have any reflectors. The back of the light housing was the right parabolic shape, but it was black.
It produced 550lumens per bulb at two feet, basically a large candle.

I bought cheap led replacement bulbs and then lined the cavity with aluminum tape like you seal ducting with.
All I did was cut two strips and put them on the back in a cross pattern. No cutting circles or filling gaps.

I'm now at 5500lumen at two feet, per bulb.

Used one of my favorite tools today.
A $20 electric hospital bed sure helps unload a pickup truck.
That stereo weighs 400lbs if it weighs an ounce.
I adjusted the height of the hospital bed to match the lift gate, and rolled off the stereo, pushed a button and lowered it to the ground.
The TV is being ripped out and replaced with a modern flat screen behind the 1963 bezel. It will sit in my 1961 themed room playing old commercials and shindig episodes.
All of the factory stickers and the factory warranty card is still with it.
Same with the other one on the trailer.

The one still on the trailer is record and reel to reel, no TV.
I'll trash it. I needed to bring it home to check for speakers. Oddly, some 1950's used speakers sell for $1,000+ without housings.

If we have tube radio fans on here, I have a Williamson 2020 and matching tuner(too rare to look up on the internet) for trade...but no trades for sound equipment.....

Hey ducksface - make sure you lube them with blinker fluid or they will go dim during the daylight.

NICE!! That's a good idea! I wired a couple of these in for extra backup lights while sealing my light assemblies. https://www.ebay.com/itm/COB-Xenon-W...d99b94036fc5c7

Thanks I bought one based on your recommendation. I'll buy a dozen if they are what they appear to be.
I'm putting magnetic switches every-Flippin'-where I can, hooked to mag switches.
Theses look perfect for the interior power block/ac/dc fuse box and all the overhead cabinets.

This place has all of the "tough to find" stuff: for the automotive aficionado!

Blinker Fluid - $18.95 : KaleCoAuto.com, Your home for the rare, unusual, and hard to find auto parts.

After testing every component, and they all worked as new, I stripped out that console I wanted to check for speakers.
If anyone wants to trade me something for very cool, about $350 to $650 on ebay, dual matched speakers, a crossover and four BIG tweeter/midrange horns, I'll trade up or down. If all you have is dog poop shaped like George Washington, and it strikes my fancy, it's a deal

Zenith equipment.
If anyone is more than vaguely interested I'll post pics and include the amp and signal seeking tuner and reel to reel and turntable, all sparkling clean and ready to go into the cabinet of your choice.
I didn't cut a single wire and all the equipment is plug and play. It even comes with the old 'jingle keys' remote control.

All trades will be done in this thread, for the joy of participation.
My last internet trade was my 600 bucks worth of new snap on tools for their blind box of 15ish used ashtrays from their moms estate.

Pics(because I have to clear that table for 24.1 mods to be worked on)
And:
It's Magnavox equipment, not Zenith.

.
My parents had a TV/Stereo that looked exactly like that. I remember that the sound “failed” on Super Bowl Sunday (1969 I think) and my Dad frantically called every TV repair place he could find. Finally one guy agreed to come out - the guy looked at the unit for about a minute, flipped the internal/external rocker switch back to internal - sound came back on - he charged my Dad the full weekend service call rate.

My other memory of that set was watching Apollo 11 and the moon landing in all its fuzzy black and white glory.

It's been playing records and radio most of the day.
It obviously needs a fan on those tubes.
It took a while to burn the crackle out of the tubes, but we're near perfection now.
I'll install a silent little fan when I install the Alexa flat screen.

The lights arrived yesterday. Bench tested to 735lumens at two feet. Very bright. 2500lumen at 18inches, there's no lens so the light spreads out fast. They're like daylight instead of a beam of light. Very nicely built.
But: they get REAL HOT, REAL FAST. like, soldering iron hot.
I'll find a use for them. But not in confined spaces like the drawers I wanted these for.
