Ducksface,
Looking at your front hitch set up it struck me "The hood on your 2018 Axis hinges up? The "hood" on My Vegas 2016 unlocks, comes forward and drops down.
When did that get changed...or was that an earlier modification of yours????

I'll guess the short windshield change required a front cap change which allowed them to rework the hood.
I thought of taking mine off to do the work and I still might when doing the insulation I've yet to do, but I sure don't think I ever need to make it "easily" removed unless it just worked out better for the overall mount.
On speculation, I think a set of 400lb drawer slides and two pins would be an easy way to raise the hinges all the way, remove the pins, slide the hood up that extra 12inches it needs, and repin it.
But a height or physically challenged person would need to be able to lift 100lbs over their head from a semicrouchrd position and work a pin into a hole with the other(or build an often failing auto catch so it all becomes a wide, short throw, guillotine)

2 inch thick polyparsetic(?) foil on both sides foam sheet.
Home depot, about $15.
Cut to size and foil taped along the edge.
Cuts so fast with an electric carving knife you'll have to slow down to keep up. Any blade from butterknife to scalpel will do.
No squeek like Styrofoam makes. (don't use Styrofoam... It squeeks )
R16 makes a big and immediate difference if your basement isn't heated.

Why I own a 24.1 in one picture
There are 12 other v's parked in a dusty field 300 yards away.
I'm parked next to a dually with a space between us.

I need help with an idea.
Either quash it quickly or help me if I'm on the right track.
Many many people complain of two things:
The propane coach heater is loud
The propane water heater sucks.
Neither bother me...
But:
I store the filler extension for the fresh water holding tank in the door of the water heater.
So, I'm standing there filling the tank and bored, read the French parameter sticker inside the water heater door.
42,000 btu.
So,
How little effort would it take to put a manual valve, a heat exchanger a blower (this is a $30 kit on ebay) in line with the water heater... And have a radiator heat system for the coach?
Or
Floor heat?
Seems easy and easy and inexpensive.
Someone tell me why not....
The Damnable part is I already have the system as a single unit. It's a UTV cab heater. $80 complete with clamps hoses and heat registers.
(like this one, but $80)
https://www.ebay.com/itm/High-Output...ry!86046!US!-1
It SEEMS to be the same as a system which is an rv option in the $3,000++ range.

It's not the most elegant solution, but I don't remember ever seeing much of an
Electric Blanket
Conversation on this forum.
The digital controllers do not work with some inverters so you'll need the old fashioned kind like shown to ensure they'll work.
The controllers are overhead and the blanket cord is ran over the valance to the foot of the bed. If the electric cord were dark colored it wouldn't be seen.

Rain gutters

It doesn't rattle, is lightly wedged in the walls and is indispensable for cords and chapstick and nail clippers and that type of stuff.
Ours is metal, they make pvc also.

Great idea, do you get any reflection off the windshield while driving?

Little reflection from the gutter itself, nothing else is any worse than the dash itself and black defroster vents caused.
I had the spousal unit remove something bright orange she'd tossed up there, but all else seems no worse than anything else.
About 10 people from the Thor west coast meet has been in and around the rv this weekend. Not a single person noticed the gutter. It blends into the decor/scene very well.

The cheese was an online forum trade.
I had an old aftermarket aahhhoooogahh horn from 1910ish. I got it free, they're cheap, but this brand was hard to find, cheap or not.
I have cash, I have toys and treasures ... I want YOUR toys and treasures as trade.
He had access to 'not for English' cheddar, I said yes... And... Tamales.

Funny, I meant to check it out (from that 1st post) but got dazzled by the OH monitors.

When I built my garage 5 years ago I did radiant floor heating with an on demand Bosch gas boiler. Between the garage being better insulated than our old house and the radiant floor setup, my garage is warmer and more comfortable than my house in the winter. I said if I would ever build a house again, it would have radiant floor heating.
I'm not sure a heat exchanger / blower setup is going to generate the same amount of heat as the furnace. You would also need a pump to recirculate the hot water through the hot water unit and the heat exchanger so you could be more efficient and would not have to always be heating cold water (that flowed to where?).
If I was renovating an old coach, I would think about putting radiant heating in the walls and floor if I could figure out a way to do it along with good insulation to retain the heat.

When I replace the linoleum, I hope to route channels in the floor for pex/heater lines.
I may never come up with a viable heat source, UT the tubes will be in place.
Electric floor heat, bathroom size, would only cost about $125.
But
This is just an excercise for now. A grope at community involvement just for the sake of community.
