2017 Hurricane Outdoor Grill recommendation

I am a newby. But, I noticed that the propane outlet under the passenger side body near the propane tank has a quick connect/ disconnect. Can anyone recommend a grill option for this? I see a lot of Coleman brand grills but am told that the my regulator makes this brand un-usable.

Thank you!

It's not a "brand" issue, it's a propane regulation issue.

The quick connect is connected to the coach's regulated propane distribution system so anything you plug into that disconnect can not have its own regulator. Most portable grills are sold to connect to directly either the 20# style bottles, or the small 1 lb bottles, both of which supply unregulated propane to the grill.

You can use one of these grills if you can find a regulator removal kit that will work with it. There's several of them on Amazon.

Welcome to the forum!
You need to get a grill that is designed to use a low-pressure source of propane.
(Like the one on your rig.)

Blackstone seems to be a popular one and you can get a low pressure hose on Amazon for 30 or so that will make it work.

We just got a Camp Chef Pro 60X two burner stove with the modular bbq grill and griddle. It’s similar to the Blackstone Tail Gater. Was actually ready to buy the BSTG. Did some research and discovered it was no longer offered on their website. CCP60X is a much more refined unit that eliminates some of the BSTG weaknesses but it is more pricy. These CC modular systems come in 1, 2, and 3 burner units with cooking height fold out legs that are adjustable for ground variation too. Might be a bit heavy for some but if you like to cook our doors it’s a great mix of bbq and griddle. Both units require you to by a separate hose that easily eliminates the unit hose/regulator combo so you can run directly off the RV low pressure quick connect.

Weber Q with Blackstone for a backup. Can’t smoke or bbq on a Blackstone griddle.

I don’t have room or interest enough to carry two outdoor cookers. We gave away the Aussie grill that came with our coach and bought a 17 inch Blackstone with a lid and a carrying case. Converted it to run on the coaches propane tank and couldn’t be happier. It’s compact, versatile and quite a bit less messy than a traditional grill.
