Looking for a new grill

And my prime candidates are the Coleman Road Trip XLE and the Coleman RoadTrip X-=Cursion. I’m wondering what the community has to say about choosing between these two.

I had a Coleman, used it twice and sold it at a yard sale. I thought it was awkward to setup, hard to clean and didn’t cook that well. It’s also long which was a pain for the space I had available to store. I have a Weber Q. Cooks great, easy to clean, and a great warranty. Replacement parts are readily available once out of warranty.

I am inclined to agree. I have had 2 of the Coleman RoadTrip LXX Grills, and no longer take them with me camping. They are heavy, take up an entire storage compartment, and the grill plates are very close to the burners (which results in a lot of burned burgers and hot dogs unless you are constantly monitoring them). I have several friends who have the Weber Q2200, and I like they way they cook much better.

I know that Coleman sells a lot of camping grills, so I'm assuming that a lot of folks really like them - I just gave you my 2 cents!

I'm soon to find out ..i just bought the coleman xle and a friend just gave me a Weber Q2200 . I havent used either yet .
My initial thought was , the Coleman has legs and wheels ie free standing. The Weber has to be on a table ,so you also need to bring another table or buy the add on legs and wheels which makes it as big as the Coleman.
I guess it's gonna come down to which ever cooks a nice big Porterhouse the best
I'll keep you posted on my findings

Weber makes a portable cart for the grill (Amazon). (The cart we have looks a lot like this one but a little different on the bottom)

We have an earlier version of that cart and the Baby Q (For a history of the "Q" series look here). We've had it for 15 years now, gone through several replacement grates, and it still cooks great for us. As a bonus it fits snugly in the passenger rear compartment on our 24.1.

Wouldn't trade my Weber Q. Well let me back up, if I win the lottery I'd get the Traeger Traveler (I think that's what it's called).

I just bought a Greenmountaingrills.com. The model is Davey Crockett. It's a portable pellet grill. I'm very fond of our full sized pellet grill we use at home. This grill isn't very large, which I like because it's just my wife and me, although it's pretty heavy (68lbs).

The other plus is that it's 12 volt. It comes with a cigarette lighter chord with adapters for direct battery and an AC converter.

It runs at temps as low as 150 and up to 550. You can bake, roast, grill and smoke in it.

After our last grill died, we decided to go big and we got this: Camp Chef 2 burner propane grill and it has been outstanding. Yes it is fairly large, but it does break down for storage and it is heavy duty. I use a Camp Chef reversible griddle and a 12 inch cast iron skillet for cooking on it. It is great for everyday cooking and also able to handle tailgating like a pro.

I am another thumbs down for the coleman- too heavy and unwieldy. I really like the cheap propane ones, portable and light but I am a simple guy. Put it on a picnic table and go w/ it.

We bought this low pressure unit from Camper's World

For about $90: it does a pretty decent job.

We have the Weber Q2000 and love it. We did modify it to run on low pressure. Weber may be a little costly but you can't beat the quality.

I forgot to mention that it's WIFI enabled as well. I can run the thing from my iPhone or iPad. We're headed to Fort Wilderness Campground at Disneyworld tomorrow. We'll put it through its paces.

We have the Weber Baby Q and love it, if I were to guess I would say we have had it 10 or more years.

My thanks to everyone who answered my OP. I still haven't decided what I'm buying yet, but at least I've got a lot more information on which to base a decision.

We have the Weber Q with the portable stand. Both store well in one underneath compartment and it is a great grill. Purchased both on Amazon and love it!

Can I ask how you modified it to run on low pressure?
