Which SUV are you using as a Toad?
The Cricket is actually a far more compact little Golf-Cart.
(I'm not as worried about the necessary space...)

Cart

Currently I have Chevy HHR and the Cricket will fit and Kangracruze would be very tight fit, maybe have to lower tire pressure. But we are looking for a different toad that is a little larger or a compact pickup such as Chevy Colorado.

We pulled the trigger, and ordered a Kangacruz Aspire RS.
It should be here in Mid-October: we'll be sure to give a full report on it.

Is the Cricket a mini golf cart body, on a mobility scooter chassis ?

Good question; but I sort of doubt that it is. If it were on a mobility scooter chassis, I don't think that the points where it collapses would work out right.

Roo

Bob Denman:

Glad you have your Roo on order. We will be interested in how your like it for a first hand review.

A tip to the wise: This company is looking for people to startup dealerships in US. Could be way to earn money without a lot of a lot of capital.

I'll definitely let you know what we think of it!
(As if I was ever shy about putting my two-cents in! )

I DID notice that they're looking to set up some dealerships. I almost wish that I had the time to get involved...

Roo

Me too, I thought about it the dealership too. I have retired from my regular job and sold one side business and sold half of another side business. The part I kept makes plenty of cash with very of my time. So it makes me very cautious starting another business and jumping back into the fire.

But with that said, I did talk an to owner of one of these minis a couple of years ago. He purchased his from a dealer that brought a truckload thru the campground. The guy sold almost a truckload of the minis at one campground.
WOW

Now, I would ride THAT to the Post Office every day!

(Just to HORRIFY my neighbors! )

I am going to look into what the financial commitments are to become a Kangacruz dealer...

Mine is a mini body golf cart. I'm not sure if it would work best as a single person mobility aide in that 2 adults can fit fairly comfortable and it can in fact seat 4 adults. However, 4 adults would be a lot of weight for such a small motor to cart around.

If you're at the rally we can put my Cricket and your Kangacruz side by side and do comparisons, and maybe include Minature Golf Cart Racing.

I looked at the Kangacruz, it appeared solid, powerful, and practical, BUT it is 1/3 more weight than the Cricket for the same 600 lb carrying capacity (also costs more). The hitch is rated to only hold 500 lbs, max. With the cart weighing 400 lbs and the platform around 80, that is pushing it. Adding that 500 lbs that far behind the rear axel adds more stress as well. If you are towing it is a different decision factor.
To any potential mini cart buyers, first I had my local reputable trailer hitch folks look at my Thor receiver (500 lb tongue weight), and they stated that with the leverage, etc., that it would not recommend hauling it around. I then had my receiver beefed up by them welding a T shaped metal piece from the receiver hitch to the frame to reinforce the existing system. So far so good. The technician stated that it wasn't the shocks swaying back and forth that would cause trouble, but more of pothole type bumps.

I found an App that'll allow us to keep an eye on our top speeds...
Nik Speed: it's an app designed for cyclists, but will work perfectly for what we need!
