Rally Up Fall 2017 in Central Florida

OK, here it is, and you will love it! Calling all Thor owners, plus those interested in becoming a Thor owner. We've done this twice before, had a great time and made terrific new friends.

October 27-29, Friday and Saturday nights at St Johns Marina Resort
2999 State Rd 44, Deland, FL 32720 phone 386-736-6601-prompt 1 during business hours. The recording that answers your call will give you their hours. There is no online reservation service.

Tell Tammy or Karen that you want to be with the Thor-Sunshine Mini Rally. They have reserved a big section for us to be together. The web site is: RV Park - Saint Johns Marina

There is a great new restaurant on the property which we have checked out twice and highly recommend. You might want to reserve extra days, but most of us will just be there those 2 nights.

The rate is currently $40/night, but may be raised by that time, and we will be paying the rate in effect during our stay. This is a new campground, so expect no shade.

This is a non-sanctioned gathering, with no formal agenda or entertainment. Thus, no rally fee! Perhaps we will have a show and tell on Saturday, if there is interest. And we will likely walk together to the restaurant at least one evening, maybe both. There is no shelter house or lodge to hold a group.

When you make your reservation, please PM me, so I have an approximate count. Y'all come!

Thanks for the update. This is in our backyard so to speak. Having our get together so close, will make it very difficult to not attend. We may take a run over there today or tomorrow to check it out.

Great location! Only 17 miles from our home in Astor, via the historic and scenic St. Johns River. A bit further by land. We cruise down there in our pontoon boat regularly. Food at restaurant is good but a bit pricey, IMO. But the beer is always cold and plentiful. Restaurant, shops and marina are all new within the past couple of years. Recommend staying a few extra days and if you have a boat, bring it; there's 312 miles of river to explore! Our only potential conflict is Oct. 27th is also our 50th anniversary and I suspect our kids will be doing some sort of 'surprise' party, as they did for our 25th. Hoping we can set it up to arrive on the 28th!

Marianne and I went over to the campground to scope it out. We had lunch at the River Grill. Good food and great view of the River. While we were there we stopped in the office to ask a few questions. We are now signed up on spot D3. New park, not hardly any trees. Sites are limestone. Nice folks. See you soon. We will be there later in the day Friday.

We'll be coming in our ACE. Spoke with Tammy and she put us in D4. We are both working stiffs, even with leaving work early we will get in at the earliest 6pm. It's about a 3.5 hour drive, so leave the lights on for us.
