Rat in a Palazzo ate the wireing ???

I found a dead rat or mouse behind the drivers seat on my 2016 Palazzo I wound even mention the smell, I think it was there a couple days (but got the smell out) But now the rear motors on the left (big) slide would not run Front motors working fine. Anybody have any idea where the wiring harness is for the slide motors I see it along the side of the slide, then I loose it. Doest it go over or under the slide. That SOB chewed something because now my batteries are going dead and never had a problem before...

Ouch! Can't help you with locating wires, but would report a comment from a friend who had rats get in his Seneca Super C. Besides engine wiring damage, they got inside and tore up some of the upholstery. Total bill was over 3K!

Our Vegas is parked near his, and the varmints chewed a wire to the generator. $200 in labor, because the carb had to be removed to get to the wire.

The moral of the story: Check your coach in storage now and then.

Sorry to hear about your rodent encounter...
We've had it reported in here that peppermint oil does a GREAT job of keeping the "creepy-crawlies" out of a stored rig.

I found the problem The wire runs under the slide from the controller up the rear of the slide They left enough extra wire that I was able to cut out the bad section It was only about 3 feet from the controller All good now.

Ha! I keep my motorhome stored at my storage facility. We welcome the feral cats that roam the property. Seems to keep the rodent population down.

Glad you found the issue! Nothing worse than an electrical gremlin!

I agree!
Critters like that can wreck a wiring harness over an extended period of time!

Look into 12v ultrasonic pest controllers. $20 -$30 ebay and amazon. Not for use when rig is in use if a pet rides along. Ours is perm attached and on 24hrs.

If you leave them running 24/7 when the rig is stored: how do you deal with the power usage?

Have not had that problem - full timers plus when rig was stored we had trickle charge. No one answer is for everybody.

My bad... At best; we're still intermittent part-timers...
