RV pest control

What do y’all do to keep bugs out? I’ve thought about using one of those foggers from time to time...what do you seasoned RVers recommend?

That's kind of a broad question. Are you referring to some pest in particular? Roaches, ants? In storage, campgrounds, or boon docking?

We carry diatomaceous earth to spread around the wheels, jacks, hose and power cord if we expect a bug problem. It's not poison, so it can be used inside and out. Must be reapplied after a rain.

We got the worst ant infestation we've ever had inside last summer, and it took weeks to finally eliminate them, several states away. Used the DE plus a few Terro baits.

When we get back home and expect to be in storage for awhile, we'll use a bug bomb, just in case. We usually don't see many dead bugs, but will keep doing that. Gotta be careful that doesn't get on anything that touches food.

Fresh Cab (from TSC) placed under the hood and a few places around where the MH meets the frame, moth balls scattered around the perimeter and regular use. I also spray the perimeter with Demon WP. I spray it under the coach, on the back of the tire areas, and along the framing/storage boxes. you can get Demon at any DIY Pest Control store. It's what lots of commercial companies use. We've yet to see any bugs anywhere inside. Fresh Cab keeps the mice and squirrels out of the wiring, engine compartment and generator.

Cotton Balls soaked in Peppermint Oil seem to do the trick for us!
