out of state dog health requirements?

Come June we will be heading out for our first extended out of state trip. Our beloved rescue mutt and stray cat will be coming along. Has anyone encountered the need for health certificates other than rabies while traveling?
The critters have had everything required for boarding here in Florida but we are concerned if other states might have other requirements.
Thanks,
Chuck Peck in FL

At the beginning of each year we get a Certificate of Health from the vet and also have the vet print the shot records. We place this info in a binder we have for administrative type paperwork. We have only been asked for a copy of the rabies certificate at one campground. We have been asked for the Health Certificate going into Canada.

Whenever we go to our vet and a immunization is required, our vet gives us a certificate of all the current vaccinations for our dog. It lists the vaccination type, date given, next due date, and vaccine lot number. We always carry a current copy in our MH in the canvas bag from Thor that came with the MH.

We travel with our cat ... KC has all his shots/immunizations documented and we carry that info with us. He is leash trained, however, we seldom allow him out and he is ok with that, as long as he can lay in the 'fish bowl' up front where he can see everyone passing by and they can see him !!
We have been tossing around litter box location in this new Axis 24.1 ...
think I will opt to line the shower stall with a large plastic bag, which we have done previously...or Ron might make a cover for the steps.. in doing so we can place the box there...secure it so it will not slide around moving down the road.
Another thoughts regarding this will be appreciated !
