Insulated front window cover

This is the finished product. I bought insulated foil and sewed to quilted fabric. Then I stitched velcro across the top edge. All bought at Joann's fabric using phone app coupons. Total cost $120. I could have used a cheap quilt and saved $40, but we liked the beige quilted fabric.
I added a loop to mark the top center piece to save time when we are hanging it. Cliff screwed heavy duty velcro across the top of the window and sides. Now we can lay it in place and stick it to the velcro in less than 5 min. It folds up nicely to store over the cab in our "attic" storage.Click image for larger version

A little tweaking after each trip will help us enjoy it more until we can afford a Tiffin or a Jayco Super C. We plan on keeping the fe22 for travel between Raleigh and New Orleans, or Disney when we are using DVC points. The next one will be for long trips. We can always dream and hope one of our inventions find a buyer. Click image for larger version

Insul shine will sew very well with a quilting needle and thread on your machine. I used the longest stitch to keep from ripping the fabric.Click image for larger version

The inside is a Quilted fabric. It makes an instant difference for ending drafts from the cab. We had insulated panels we cut to fit the glass, but it was a pain to install at each campsite. I have a tab on the center top, so the new cover can be installed in less than 5 min. Privacy and warmth.Click image for larger version

I like your idea. I have the reflective bubble that I put in my windows when sitting but they dont look as good as yours. It gives it a more home feeling inside the RV. Plus it should help insulate even more with layer of fabric.

I could tweak a little more and get rid of the folds, but this is good. We added velcro over the door so I can make a cover for the glass.
