RV Name

My wife's nickname is Toadie, so we named it Toad Haul as a play on words from Wind in the Willows book.

You named your RV what?!

"Ming"

When asked why, we have three possible replies:
1. The villain Ming the Merciless in the old Flash Gordon movies. Might apply after the warranty expires!

2. The name of the color scheme for our Synergy.

3. Named after a favorite Sealpoint Siamese cat...Li Ming.

Our 3 yr old grand daughter called it the school bus, so we call it the bus. That was until we had been on the road fof 2.5 months and now it's starting to be called the house.

We named our 2015 Vegas the Bubble due to the large window in the front.

we named our Axis ...

It appears our Axis is KC's Big Box !!!
Ron has told folks for a number of years the only reason we have an rv is because we don't want to leave the cat 'home alone' !!
Our Garmin. male voice, when we allow him to speak..is Jack !
We don't leave home without either of them !!

That cat thing is pretty much true for us. The cats are veteran travellers and look forward to the extra attention they get. It costs more to leave them home that it does to take them. We are currently having a discussion (code word for disagreement) about what to call the Motorhome. When I was a kid, I had no problem naming stuffed animals. However other objects are had for me to adapt to naming. In order for it to sound right to me, it would have to be something like your "KC's Big Box".

I have a confession to make. I have not been a member for very long. However it was just today that I figured out that your avatar was a flower and not an cartoon guy in a funny hat and a big yellow beard and mustache.

Good Morning ! It is always good to hear from a fellow camper who understands the hierarchy in a home ruled by cats !! 'Su casa es MI CASA' seems to be our 'little mans' motto, as in the past with our other beloved companions.
I am sure you will come up with a nifty name for your RV ! We began calling it a big box when describing to friends how it felt when going down the road in a strong side wind...
Funny you mention our avatar..I am in the process of changing it..when we joined the forum in January, I placed the sunflower as we are in Kansas. Now, I have some awesome shots of the Axis as well as KC in the window...now, I am ready to make an update...I am leaning towards this...taken on our recent 4th of July trip...will see how it looks.

That would be a great avatar. it shows just exactly whose motorhome it is. I believe he's surveying his kingdom.

I am a Washington Native. However in 1993 my wife and I moved to the Denver Area. We just returned about 18 months ago. I have camped all over Washington, but all my experience is dated.
Checkout this thread on the Airstream forums. Gene travels all over and documents his travel. I'm fairly sure you can view it without joining.

Road Trips - Airstream Forums

If you start on post #169. He is just arriving in this area, They then go north and take the ferry to Vancouver Island.

Let me know if it doesn't work.

Susan named ours Thor. (not too original)

I don't name lifeless objects except for teddy bears.

I call it the RV.
