You named you RV what???

I'm presently between a Chateau 23u and the new 26B. I'll keep the same name of "Chateau du Chien" (Dog House). I travel with my two little Papillon dogs and they do command a level of comfort where ever they are.

Ours is named the Minion Mobile. We have the inside full of all things minions....shower curtains, blankets, sheets, pillows, towels, containers, etc. And we have stickers on the outside of minions. I even have a minion costume to wear when I drive.

Yes, we see a lot of people taking pics of us with their cell phones....so funny!

I named our last travel trailer, Vera. So, when we got the new Windsport, husband wanted to name it and he chose Windi- which almost every other person with a Windsport also chose.

We named our Axis "Odie" (short for Odin), the kids are fans of the Thor/ Marvel movies.

Anyone else care to share?
Of course you gave it a "him" type name. Her type names tend to have much higher maintenance costs! "Odie" reminds me of the ole cartoon strip with Odie the dog. (cool)

As for our Mercedes Sprinter Thor Synergy model? Named her "The Wild Goose". Not because I'm a hunter, I gave that up years ago. But because the Wild Goose is a former World War II minesweeper converted into a luxury yacht that was once owned by Hollywood legend John Wayne. As a kid I grew up on True Grit, McLintock, the Green Berets, Sons of Katie Elder, not to mention the famous John Ford cavalry trilogy. 40 years ago while visiting Universal Studio in California I happened to see the original "War Wagon" from the movie of the same name and some years later boarded the yacht Wayne once owned. Walking those decks stayed with me for life. I swear I could feel the Duke so much so that the hair on the back of my neck was surely alerted. He reminded me so much of my father it was uncanny. The walk, the mannerisms, the famous advise combined with that big no nonsense character made famous by movies. My dad was just like Wayne and I miss them both so. Besides all that "Wild Goose" which suggests an aimless roaming seemed better than naming it, "John Wayne", "Marion Morrison", "Dollor", "Dollar", "Duke", "Beau", "Starlight", "Cochise", "Banner", "Alamo", or "Steel" which were all names of the horses he owned or rode in his movies. Sorry I'm a hopeless romantic and I freely admit it. I'm old school where "God, Guts and Guns" made America over "Snowflakes, everyone's a winner and safe places to grieve".

Earlier I pointed out my wife named our RV Ms. Enterprise. Keeping that thought in mind we finally got our spare tire cover...

http://www.thorforums.com/forums/att...1&d=1491779491

TO continue going Boldly the DW will start early retirement as of 01JUly17. I'll be hanging on for full retirement so... for the next two years we only have my schedule to work around for RV'ing trips.

Doc

PS The RV did not fall over, but the picture just keeps falling over.

Nigmanag

My wife and I named our Hurricane Nigmenag - a feminized version of "nigmenog" (A very silly fellow, 18th century slang). We call her Naggy for short.

Don't know if the grammarians would accept us feminizing nigmenog. But then, English was not my best subject is school.

Our first two campers had original names.. The Starcraft. The third one we called The Palomino. The fourth was The Cougar. The fifth was The Lance. This one is uncertain but is usually The Camper or The Motorhome. lol

Rosie is a good name for a Hurricane! They always get female names.

We named our 2016 Citation Sprinter "Mjolnir" (pronounced sort of like mule-ner) which is the name of Thor's hammer. I guess that's what we get for having 3 adult sons giving us advice.

We don't leave home without either of them !!
Along the same line, since we can never let our two rescue pits stay home alone we have decided to name it: "The Bully PulPit"....complete with logos soon to be applied.
