Your Name On Rig

Some of you may know how race car drivers have their name on their car. On the door, cockpit etc.

Have you thought about doing this/or have you?

We have friend that is a good artist. I thought it might be a neet personalized touch to have our initials painted on the doors for him/her. Or maybe less permanent yet personal is a decal approach. Thoughts?

Thanks
JJ

I like the Idea of it.

But I would also have something on the front and back of the RV to match it? Perhaps a slogan like "retirement plan" or "The Kids inheritance" on the back and something else on the front? Like a nick name for your RV?

I would put first names only on the RV (no last names) but thats just me.

We have the name of our rig across the front bumper.
Not as much pizazz as painting the rig but it gets it's share of comments.

I was thinking our initials portrayed on the door in some fashion. (Check signature)

There are too many nuts in this world to have your name , first, middle or last plastered on your RV. Name your RV, or have some catch phrase that you like printed on it. You've provided enough of an invitation with your license plate for casual observation. Why profile your names, so that when you get back home you'll find everything gone except the house. Truly, it is not a good idea and it is dangerous. The rig itself is enough to draw attention for the non RV'ers. This is just me, but to each his/her own. My rig has a name, but only to good friends and family, but if we were to have a moniker plastered on it, it would simply be something akin to the "Wandering Bouncers" with S&M.

I've thought of naming my rig, but not putting a name on it.

I've though of 'stormbreaker', however I'm sure I am in no way original.

"The Gritz Carlton" says it all. Good ole' southerners, born and raised down south on grits, beans and cornbread, traveling around the country in a rolling "Ritz Carlton". Who can track me down by that?? We started a thread a while back on "stickers" with your username/RV name on them so other forum members can recognize us when paths cross. Can't find the thread but someone more savvy here can post the link. I have the oval stickers on the windows of both sides over the dinette and sofa. Lots of members did the same and I'd recognize them immediately if I see them somewhere. Everybody names everything that has a special meaning...same as boaters have done for years. "The Gritz Carlton" is a catch-phrase and has meaning...to post "Don G." on the side would be...well...useless.

I LIKE that one!

But as for painting names on the rig... it won't help a bit, when you're trying to sell it.
Any prospective buyer will see it as another "project"...

Don’t ask me why I posted a picture, that was supposed to be the link to The Gritz Carlton’s original post.

I don't see a picture, only a link to the thread.

Ok, I know it's not very original but we call our rig "Thor". Yes I'm a big Avengers fan.

You just need to track down some good vinyl graphics.
