$20 unlimited data

I know it is off topic to DRV, but I wanted to post this info up.
I spent weeks trying to find a ZTE Mobley. As AT&T , Best Buy and any retailer is out of them. It is a hot spot that is powered by your cars OBD2 port. But you can also make or buy a connector to plug it into a 110 socket.
You call the Connect car division of AT&T to sign up for the $20 unlimited data plan. This is my only account with them so you do not need to have a phone on there network.
I also bought a jail broken Firestick with Kodi.
I know can watch movies and shows on my big screen TV.
Hope this information helps someone.

I have friends that use these devices but they use AT&T cell phones. I use Verizon. Will it work?

I have this device from T-Mobile. I am a cell customer of them, and they gave it to me for free. I have unlimited data with them on my cell, and the device is part of the package.

We have had our AT&T Mobley for about a month now and so far it works great. We have used about 18 gigs so far and the speeds are great with no slow down. I bought an AC adapter from Amazon so we use it in the RV as well as in the truck when traveling. We are getting ready to take a trip and we will be in the country away from any big cities so that will give it a good test. We also have our cell service through AT&T and they just added it to our account with the phones. For $20 a month for unlimited data they are hard to beat.

We got rid of our MiFi and home away from home phone with Verizon. We both have iPhones and have gone to their truly unlimited data, texting and calling in US Canada and Mexico. With this we can use both phones as a hotspot. Last month with 3 weeks use we went thru about 200 gigs, finally using NETFLIX. Price is about $98 per mo. Not sure how that compares but this is the ticket as far as we are concerned.

I would like to get one of these for our RV. Does anyone know who would have the best coverage? Heading across Texas and up through New Mexico on June 9th. Any carrier feedback is greatly appreciated!

As far as the ZTE Mobley goes the service is through AT&T. And as far as finding a Mobley right now it would be slim to none unless you pay a large markup on Ebay. They sold fast once this deal got out.

It is through AT&T only. My phone is with Verizon. I choose Verizon as it seems to be the best National coverage carrier, from what I researched. So I now have a account with AT&T for the Mobley. It is getting better speeds then my phone using the hotspot. I think that might be because it is a stand alone hot spot. I have been in three places so far and it has worked great.

Yes they are REALLY hard to find. No one has them in stock. I searched for weeks and found 2 of them and bought them both. If you want to buy one PM me.

I just ordered mine through ATT. Say is ships from June 3rd to 5th with a 2 day ship time. Worst case says I should get it by the 7th or 8th. We leave on our first trip on the 9th. Cutting it very close.

Not sure, maybe you could look at there coverage maps. I think every carrier has dead zones. But for $20 a month for unlimited data was a no brainer for me.

I hope that you get it in time. About a week ago someone posted that AT&T had them, then someone posted after that that they were gone again. Best But does not have one of them Nationally.

So I see this

https://www.amazon.com/PeraltaProduc...mobley+adapter

that supposedly converts 5vdc to 12vdc. How in the world does that work. Can going up in voltage really work?

I bought mine at, AC Adapter for AT&T ZTE Mobley OBD 2 LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot Device | eBay
I liked that fact that he said that he uses an "Adapter is made from quality video surveillance camera power supply which is made to be operating 24/7."

Be sure when you call AT&T to get it activated on the $20 unlimited plan you call the Connect Car number (1-866-595-1250). Have the box handy for any numbers they may need. It took me about 30 minutes to get mine setup.

I have the Connect Car number as,*(866) 595-1222. Only talk to them about the $20 unlimited plan as they seem to be the only ones that know about it.
