2016 jx450

Just put a deposit on one, and will be traveling to the dealer to inspect and finish the deal in a couple weeks. Going to be towing with a 2017 F350 DRW 4x4 and Trailer Saver BD5 hitch, or at least that's the current plan. Trailer has standard suspension.

Couple questions - am I going to be able to get enough bed clearance on this, or am I going to have to add risers/extend the spring hangers/flip axles/etc to get enough clearance?

What do I need to know about the rig before getting there? Pros/cons/issues to watch out for? We've been full time for two years in a Cedar Creek, so I feel I know my way around a fiver, but anything specific to these?

Finally - suggestions for a good reclining couch in the living room? Currently have a LazyBoy in our Cedar Creek, but I think it's too big for the JX450.

You 17 F350 DRW should be enough truck. But it is all about balancing your load on the 5ver correctly. Where did you order your DRV from?
I know on my set up, I had 2 inch risers added. And I know that some have had 3 inch risers added. Hopefully some one with what your set up will chime in on the risers.

We were just at DRV Tuesday (6/25), Mike our guide told us that DRV has implemented 2" risers as a STANDARD feature on ALL IS equipped units moving forward. I didn't think to ask when this option was placed into production however. ... Sorry

But the JX450 does not come with Moryde IS. It is about TIME that they started changing their frames. GMC started getting taller in the rear since 2013 I think and by 2015 the big three were all taller. Shame that it took them 4 years to figure it out. They should be mating F350’s and Rams & Chevy’s 3500 series trucks EVERY YEAR! Very minimal effort. Plus with towing correctly, rigs are less likely to have failures and components last longer as well as just tow better. Which mean’s happier customers knowing that DRV cares and is always doing some R&D to keep current. I think the only reason why they are doing it is because it is being ordered more and more. I could suggest several things that would help build there base and brand. Sorry for the rant.

Those brake lines look like tire or road debris victims in waiting.

It's a used 2016, so no ordering. Somebody just traded it in at Lazydays Tampa - if anyone knows the former owner, I'd love to chat with them before making the trip down there.

It looks like it has 2 inch risers but can not make out what suspension is on it.

Regular spring suspension was standard on the Fullhouse units for a while. Kansas RV Center also orders all of their 3 axle units with springs instead of IS.

I remember DRV telling me in a tour that they do not put IS as it is a much heavier suspension. But, I think it can be optioned.

My 17 Santa Fe has 3 axles and IS from the factory. It was a dealer stock unit in Texas.

Not standard because of the RV base/rated weight and potential of garage load.

IS adds several hundred pounds per axle.
