We are looking at this exact model but are unsure about the towing capacity of a Ford F350

When we ordered ours we were given the option to increase the GVWR to 21,000 pounds. If need be, hopefully we'll be able to get that 5,000 on the pin, because we won't go over 16,000 on the axles. (Currently moving out of our 3200 FT^2 house and we will not go above a 10'x10' storage unit. And I have a hard time getting rid of stuff. It's been quite the experience...)
Not sure how much that helps you with your Ford predicament. What are the specs of your truck?

Loaded weightson a 41RSSB4
Hooooooo doggy, I have some loaded weights for this beast. Sure wish I had a dry weight so I could see how much stuff we have in this thing, but that isn't going to happen. Here goes:
Me-225#
Wife-115#
Dog 1-55#
Dog 2-140#
Full tank of fuel
Miscellaneous tools
Bakflip F1 folding tonneau cover
B&W RVK3600 with Blue Ox bed saver
Truck weights without trailer
Front Axle- 5420
Rear Axle- 4020
Total- 9440
Truck with trailer (B&W hitch adjusted for pin weight to be in front of rear axle)
Front Axle-5360
Rear Axle-8960
Pin weight-4940
Trailer bogey read as
-17380
But! When I checked each individual axle of the trailer, it came out as
Front Axle-9160
Rear Axle-9140
Not sure what is going on here if anyone would care to enlighten me
Full freshwater tank
24% in gray tank
20% in black tank
Onan 5500 propane generator
And of course, all of our crap.
We still have a bunch of empty cabinets on the back of our trailer.
No washer or dryer.
The truck pulled everything beautifully up and down 7% grades without issue.
Picture for fun

Just my opinion but your figures are telling you that your trailer is 2300 lbs over weight. You have two 8000 lb axles and 18300 lbs on them. Add your pin weight of 4940 and you become 23,240 lbs. my guess is that your gross weight sticker on your pin box says 21,000 lbs.

Hind sight I wished we would have ordered our 39TKSB3 with three axles. I am surprised a 41 would not be 3 axle. Our rig had a dry weight of 18K but with 6500 LP gen and our "Stuff" we are about 23K. I think DRV is fibbing on the numbers!
The tires still have capacity but not a heck of a lot. Ours has 17,500# on the 4 tires.

I ask DRV if they would put 3 axles under our 41 RSSB4, they replied that they would not. This was suppose to be from their engineering dept. Not sure why but final answer was no.

Anyone have any ideas about why the scales would show two different weights when measuring a single set of axles compared to both at the same time? Would there IS have anything to do with that?

Also, Tahoe is right about the gross 21,000 limit for this thing. The crazy thing is that I had to ask for the GVWR to be bumped up to 21,000, it was only supposed to be 20,000 originally.

Mine came 21K without asking.
As far as weight differences I assume you used the road side DOT scales? CAT scales would be more accurate I assume. I get varying readings when I use the DOT scales.
I wish I would have weighed mine before I added any weight! There is no way I have added near 5K!

Right? Glad to know I'm not the only one that wanted to get moved in.
I just used the local DOT scales for these weights, but I do plan on using certified scales in the event they are conveniently available.
I feel the same way about the added weight. We have several empty cupboards and shelves in the back of our trailer, and no washer/dryer either. perhaps I should have left my smelting kit at home...
Joezilla, it's up to you to get a good dry weight and report back your findings. Good luck. In the meantime, I suppose I won't travel with a full tank anymore.

I will do the best I can. However, we are moving over our washer/dryer combo along with all our stuff before hitting the road for Arizona next month.
I asked Alicia at Rolling Retreats if she had any ideas of how much the 43' Atlanta would weigh. She responded that she had two 43' Naples on the lot right then. Their stickers said --- Weights are:
Unit 7506 - (dry weight) Shipping weight 19,645 w/ GVWR 23,000
Unit 7880- (dry weight) Shipping weight 18,875 w/ GVWR 23,000
I think the #7506 had an installed generator, but am not sure. I know our Atlanta has no specifications weights on the DRV website.
I will try to get the new rig weighed soon after we get it.
Joe
