Bedroom slide

Should the sides of the bed slide wood fascia be touching the wall when slide is fully extended?

The sides do, but not the top of the slide!

Ok, my sides aren’t touching, they are about 1.5 to 2 inches away.

Not sure what is involved with the adjustment. Haven't done that fix yet!

At one time, we went to the Schwintek site regarding a slide question. They recommend, if you think your slide is out of sync...to retract or extend wherever you are at this point...all the way keeping power switch on for 5 seconds after it has stopped moving...then go the other direction doing the same. We always follow this recommendation, every time we operate the slide. And...we Silicone our slides just about every use.

doubtful, as the slide has a SEAL between it and the wall, for water and weather!

The short answer is no. Wingnut60 (Joe) asked me that right after he purchased his new to him '15 RSSA. We have a 2015 38RSSA, the slide does not touch in the bedroom, ours never has and is sealed against the body just fine. We've had no trouble with the bed slide. We did however have a cable snap on the vanity slide.

Depends on what slide and which end you are talking about. The part that is exposed and is visible has an extra piece of molding so that it does contact the wall. The opposite end does not.

Mine is a cable slide, and there is a gap on both sides about 2 inches!

On my RSSA, the gap on both slides is to account for the cable/motor mechanisms.

Stick your hand in and feel around. You will find the motors and associated gear drives in there. It can't go any further because of these. Correct and proper setting.

Have the factory adjust, the wood trim at the sides should touch the wall when extended.

Depending on the year, model and type of slide. Not touching on several is standard because of the above mentioned items.
I'm not going to receive another hand slap for disagreeing with others again, am I? Or is this one ok because the mod friend has not posted yet?

Perhaps the factory has chosen not to add the trim any more.

As you can see from my pic, even with the cable system, some are trimmed. Albeit only on the visible side.

On our 2014 the sides touch the body of the rig. The top trim does not. This is where the cables run and adjustments are made.
I believe it depends on the model you have, maybe not. We are in Hartford City, IN now and leaving Tuesday morning for Interstate RV in LaGrange for some work on rig. Wingnut (Joe), I will see you there. Planning on a factory tour on Wednesday morning at 10! Lot's of questions from a newbie on this rig for sure!
