Bedroom Speakers

I suppose I should have figured this out by now, but, how do I turn on the two round speakers in the ceiling of our bedroom?

I looked at this months ago and came up with two options. Because the wife goes to bed earlier then I do.

1. Disconnect they two wires on the back side of the Sony receiver. I did not do.
2. I plug in headphones into the Sony receiver and that then turns off all of the speakers. This way the wife can sleep and I can still watch.

But, I do not want to turn them off, I want to turn them on. Or, at the least, to see if they work.

On our 2011, there's a speaker selection switch in the coat closet above the main switch panel (slides, water heater, etc). Selecting "B" gets the speakers on. See if there's anything similar on yours. David

Check the wires at the back of the Sony unit then.

The bedroom speakers might be controlled by the stereo receiver...........check the manual.

That is exactly right if you have a new DRV. You need to go into the setup menu on the receiver and make sure it is set on A and B speakers. Your bedroom speakers become the B speakers. For some reason they can't do that at the factory. After that the left most button on the receiver will select which speakers are on.

I pushed the AFD/2CH button on the Sony receiver to multi ST setting to get the bedroom speakers working.
