Breaking it down
You have to hate cold mornings when you are packing up to pull out. Most of all packing the water hose when you have to wrestle it into the best circle to store it away. This is as good as I could get it.

What hot water spigot could you hook it up to?

I used to use the outside shower on my old toy hauler. I'm thinking I might be able to use the hot side low point drain to run a little through the hose on the DRV.

We used to carry a little heat tape for our first trip of the year when we knew there was a possibility of the water line freezing.
Barring that I'd just coil it up as best I could and then dig it out when I got home (granted if you're full-timing you are "home").

I see that as "Art Work" that should be installed @ the Motorhome Museum in Elkhart In. A modern day Picasso!

This goes for the 50amp cord also--solved that with the power reel on the new coach. Sure hope it has enough power to coil a cold cord...

It did not freeze. I would NEVER leave my hose out on freezing nights. I have camped in below freezing and I put water in my fresh water tank and put away the hose. But when it is 40 degrees outside the hose stiffens up. Making is a pain in the arse to coil back up nicely.

That caddy looks handy, but if the hose is cold what you took out wouldn't go back in that neatly.

That is a great idea, add a Shark bite adapter to hook the hose up, hold up the other end of the hose, or just elevate some and fill it with hot water. Coil hose while warm....

I HIGHLY recommend going to "rvwaterfilter.com" and buy their white hose in what ever length or lengths you like in either solid brass or stainless fittings. Yes they are 1/2" ID but that really is NOT an issue with a RV. I have 5, 10 and 15' hoses. They are still flexible in COLD weather!
I also recommend buying what ever length of 50A "SO" cable and the Camco yellow ends. Flexible in COLD weather also. Always easy to coil up.

For the shore power cord, I let MorRyde coil it. Does a great job! All my short hoses are from the RV water store. RV to water softener to filters, then the cheapie hose to the water faucet.

I really like the 50ft BLUE water hose, but it could be difficult to roll up at times. So, I took my 50 BLUE hose and started using it by my swimming pool, looks great.
I went to Amazon and purchased 2 10' and one 25' BLUE water hoses. I also purchased brass quick connects for all hoses. Now, I just use the shortest hose possible when I setup camp. Most of the time I only use one 10', makes life a little simpler.
